The Legends of the Jews- an interesting expansion account of the Great Deluge

The Legend of the Jews -by Louis Ginzberg [1909]

The Genesis account speaks nothing of this kind of detail.
It could be all fantasy but could some of it be rooted in truth?

"THE FLOOD"

"The flood was produced by a union of the male waters, which were above the firmament, and the female waters issuing from the earth. The upper waters rushed through the space left when God removed two stars out of the constellation Pleiades. Afterward, to put a stop to the flood, God had to transfer two stars from the constellation of the Bear to the constellation of the Pleiades. That is why the Bear runs after the Pleiades. She wants her two children back, but they will be restored to her only in the future world.

There were other changes among the celestial spheres during the year of the flood. All the time it lasted, the sun and the moon shed no light, whence Noah was called by his name, "the resting one," for in his life the sun and the moon rested. The ark was illuminated by a precious stone, the light of which was more brilliant by night than by day, so enabling Noah to distinguish between day and night."

Ursa Major-the Big Dipper(The Great Bear), Ursa Minor-the Little Dipper(The Lesser Bear), Taurus-the Bull(It's back holds the Pleiades star cluster.) Interesting though is that Draco(the Dragon) separates the Bears from one another. Again an interesting thing is that Hercules' left foot is described as stepping on Draco's head.
Genesis 3:15 -"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head (the serpent-Draco), and thou shalt bruise his heel (the savior-Hercules)."


This would give some explaination to the existance of the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Just as Venus could be described as a star-like object in ancient times, so could a neighboring planet that is no longer there.

Question? How large would a Saturn sized planet in Mars' position look from the surface of earth?

Probably all big and cool.

The black wizards destroyed that planet with nukes and stuff man. They also helped the Nazis and USA. They are pretty shady.
