Do you have to be christian to be born again ???

thats where you get lost, in trying to decipher all of the intricancie's of the bible and the rules they carry.

I agree that the bible WAS the truth, .... however that was 2000 years ago, spirituality does not stand still, it evolves and changes with mans ability to understand it.

bible this, bible that, ..... Im telling you that you do not need it, .... you never have. We have a built in gps system that brings us home if we allow it to. First you must stop accepting things blindly and begin to ask your own questions, create for yourself, instead of blindly following what your translation of the bible grants, which if flawed from the beginning.

I have been to the " other side" as people put it, I have seen things most people would not understand, and have returned to share this with all of those who are eager to learn.

yet everyone pretends they have it all figured out, and they argue not against me, .... but for themselves, trying to reaffirm their own belief's .

No, not technically, Christianity is just a label if you ask me. The Bible doesn't say you must follow this religion or that religion; at least I haven't found it. All you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ as your lord and savior within your heart and profess it with your mouth. It also helps if you follow God's commandments but then again we are sinners. I don't think the Bible is flawed otherwise no one would be using it today for answers and guidance. Though, I wish people would stop taking it out of context and making nonsensical sense of a logical idea.

What is this "other side" you speak of? Like you died and went to heaven and came back? I have to agree it's hard for people to understand and grasp things they have not seen or experienced. I read a guys story of his trip to heaven and back in Below Top Secret. I'm not sure if that's what you mean but I'm merely guessing at the vagueness of the words "other side". I have a hard time believing out of body experiences are just the brain releasing chemicals, especially if the brain is dead with no function.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]." (Ephesians 6:12)

It is this hiearchy of evil that has blinded the minds of man to keep mankind blind to the truth that the second Adam has fixed the problem brought about by the first Adam.

That is why it is absolutely neccessary for the believer to put on the spiritual armor made available by the second Adam. One of the pieces of armor is the "helmut of salvation." The helmut protects the mind from the firery darts of the wicked. There are many thoughts that come at the Christian from all directions. That is why we must:

"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:5)

The problem with mankind is that many hate the idea of being obedient!

The only way to be obedient to Christ is by knowing the Word of God!

The Word of God is God's Will and His Will is His Word!

"There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:" (John 3:1)

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3)

"Oh wretched man! Mis-interpretate not my simple words for easier comprehension. Thou have eyes but see not. Thou hath ears but hear not.

No living man shall see thy Father's kingdom till thou art reborn again in the spirit, when thine alloted time on Earth hath passed.

Seek not the words of man, but heed the words from thy Father, of which I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

IF these had been the words of the True Messiah, the teacher, would it lead to better understanding rather than to have convoluted and obnoxious mis-interpretations in leading the innocent and weary flock back to the Almighty?

A few Interesting verses from “The Gospel of Thomas”.. Quote;

and unto Me did The All extend.

Split a piece of wood, and I am there.

Lift up the stone, and you Will Find Me there.”

have taken The Keys of Knowledge and Hidden Them.

They themselves have NOT entered,
nor have they allowed to enter those who wish to.

“If they say to you, “Where did you come from?”

say to them, “We came from The LIGHT,
the place where The Light came into being

If they ask you, “What is the sign of your Father in you?”

say to them, “It is Movement and Repose.”

Verse 11 (2 Parts)…. Quote;

11. Jesus said,
“This heaven will pass away,
and the one above it, will pass away.

The dead are Not alive,
and the living will Not die.
.............

When you come to dwell in The Light,
what will you do?

On the day when you were one
you became two.

But when you become two,
what will you do?”

Verse 19… Quote;

19. Jesus said,

“Blessed is he who came into being
before he came into being.
If you become My disciples
and listen to My words,
these stones will minister to you.

For there are five trees for you in Paradise
which remain undisturbed summer and winter
and whose leaves do not fall.

Whoever becomes acquainted with them
will Not experience Death.”

Verse 51…Quote;

51. His disciple said to Him,

“When will the repose of the dead come about,
and when will the New World come?”

He said to them,
“What you look forward to has already come,
but you do Not recognise it.”

Verse 52…Quote;

52. His disciples said to Him,

“Twenty-four prophets spoke in Israel,
and all of them spoke in You.”

He said to them,
“You have omitted The Living One in your presence
and have spoken only of the Dead.”

Verse 56…Quote;

56. Jesus said,

has found only a corpse,
and whoever has found a corpse
is superior to the World.”

Verse 84…Quote;

“When you See your likeness, you rejoice.
But when you See Your Images,
which came into being Before You,
and which Neither Die Nor Become Manifest,
How Much You Will Have to Bear!”

Verse 65…..Quote;

85. Jesus said,

“Adam came into being from a great power and a great wealth,
but he did not become worthy of you.
For had he been worthy,
he would not have experienced death.”

Verse 106…Quote;

106. Jesus said,

“When you make the Two One,
you will become The Sons of Man and when you say,

“Mountain, Move Away, it will move away.”

Verse 108…Quote;

108. Jesus said,
“He who will drink from My Mouth will Become Like Me.

I Myself Shall Become He,
and The Things That Are Hidden
Will Be Revealed to Him.”

Verse 22… Quote;

22. Jesus said to them,

“When you make the two one,
and when you make the inside like the outside
and the outside like the inside,
and the above like the below,
and when you make the male and the female one and the same,
so that the male not be male nor the female;
and when you fashion eyes in place of an eye,
and a hand in place of a hand,
and a foot in place of a foot,
and a likeness in place of a likeness;
then will you enter The Kingdom.”

Verse 78…. Quore;

78. Jesus said,
“Why have you come out into the desert?
To see a reed shaken by the wind?
And to see a man clothed in fine garments
like your kings and your great men?

Upon them are the fine garments,
and they are unable to discern The Truth.”

I will not compromise truth for error! To be born-again means Christ in! Which makes a person a true Christian.

"Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian." (Acts 26:28)

"Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf." (1 Peter 4:16)

"And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. (Acts 11:26)

I wonder how many today would say, "Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian."

Christianity is not like hand-grenades, almost will not cut it!

Thank you for an amazing thread. I must agree with most of what you said.

IMO - there are as other replies have mentioned, Christians and those that only claim to be. the difference is easy to acknowledge.

Alot of people know of God and Jesus but a true Christian IMO KNOwS God, meaning he/she has a personal relationship with his Abba Father.

"Knowing and Believing are two different things"

Christian is but a term for one who believes in the true Messiah. The true Christian is not one who labels himself haughtily and obnoxiously to others.

The true Christian is one who follows the word of the Almighty and His teachings in his heart, and by his example and interactions, will he bring glory to the Father and led others to Him.

Peace.

All in all, I commend those who would normally, in a thread of this nature, come out with teeth clenched and claws sharpened.

The intent of this thread was never from the beginning meant to be haughty. I do want all here to see that the Word of God is perfect when rightly divided.

There are many private interpretations of the scripture and just because a person is sincere in his/her belief that their interpretation is right does not make it so. Sincerety is no guarantee for truth. I know that I have not apprehended the 100 % truth. I make mistakes, I think we all do. That is why we must:

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)

Because,

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." (2 Peter 1:20)

"Again thou sees and hear not, and upon thy failure to utilize thy senses, thou comprehends not, and only spread confusion to my people.

Seek not the words of man but only that of thy Father"

I am sure that the True Messiah would tell you in your heart. Peter, a disciple is only a man, or mortal flesh. His exact words in a letter were:-

"Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding,or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God."

Peace.

Edit: For better comprehension, the words of the Almighty is a very personal issue, for He speaks to you in your heart, for you alone and His words were never meant for you to cause hurt or harm to another of His innocent children. Only you alone know and can verify from teachings.

This is the 3rd and last time hopefully that I, a mere insignificant nobody man, am telling you that you see, hear and yet comprehend nothing, as well as not to seek the words uttered by man as the divine.

Yeah, you say you are a seekeroftruth, yet you try to make everyone believe you know it all.

Either you are blind or you just blatantly disregard the Word of God as being the true scource of truth.

If the later is the case, I emplore you to repent and ask God's forgiveness and read and do Romans 10:9,10

Two last questions, hopefully!

1. Are all of the scriptures in this Thread quoted from the King James version, are all of these scriptures the words of man or the Word of God?

2. Jesus Christ, did he come in the flesh, was he a man?

Curious!

The King James Version ???

A VERSION ???

Yes it is indeed, only a Version...

Version???

How many different Versions are there of these writings???

Are they all exactly the same ???

NO.

And are they Complete ???

NO.

They have been edited, translated by the human species (Scibes) and edited again.

From the Gospel of Thomas... Quote;

39. Jesus said,

The Pharisees and the Scribes

have taken The Keys of Knowledge

and Hidden Them.

They themselves have NOT entered,

nor have they allowed to enter

those who wish to.

and in "The Epistle of Paul The Apostle to the Romans"..
Chapter 3 Verse 4... Quote;

4. God forbid;
yea let God be true,
but every man (should be written "Person" or flesh) a liar;
as it is written,
That thou mightest be justified
in thy sayings,
and mightest overcome
when thou art Judged.

All flesh is at War against God...

This is why All Flesh is returned to the Ground.

From “John’s Preaching of the Gospel The Acts of John 87-105”… Quote;

97. After The Lord had so danced with us, my beloved, He went out.
And we were like men amazed or fast asleep, and we fled this way and that.
And so I saw Him Suffer, and did not wait by His Suffering,
but fled to the Mount of Olives and wept at what had come to pass.

And when He was hung upon The Cross on Friday,
at the sixth hour of the day there came a darkness over the whole Earth.

And my Lord stood in the middle of the cave and gave Light to it and said,

“John, for the people below in Jerusalem I am being crucified
and pierced with lances and reeds, and given vinegar and gall to drink.

But to you I am speaking, and listen to what I speak.

I put into your mind to come up to this mountain
so that you may hear what a disciple should learn from his Teacher
and a man from God.”

98. And when He had said this

He showed me a Cross of Light firmly fixed,
and around The Cross a great crowd, which had no single form;
and in It (The Cross) was One Form and the Same Likeness.

And I saw The Lord Himself Above The Cross, having No Shape
but only a kind of Voice; yet not that voice which we knew,
but one that was sweet and gentle and truly The Voice of God,
which said to me,

“John, there must be one man to hear these things from Me;
for I need one who is ready to hear.

This Cross of Light is sometimes Called LOGOS by Me for your sakes,
sometimes MIND, sometimes JESUS, sometimes CHRIST,
sometimes A DOOR, sometimes A WAY, sometimes BREAD,
sometimes SEED, sometimes RESURRECTION,
sometimes SON, sometimes FATHER, sometimes SPIRIT,
sometimes LIFE, sometimes TRUTH,
sometimes FAITH, sometimes GRACE; and so it is called for men’s sake.

But what It Truly is, as Known in Itself and spoken to us, is this:

It is The Distinction of All Things, and The Harmony of Wisdom,
being Wisdom In Harmony.

But there are Places on the right and on the left,
Powers, Authorities, Principalities and Demonds,
Activities, Threatenings, Passions, Devils, Satan
and The Inferior Root from which the Nature of Transient things Proceeded.

99. This Cross then is that which has united ALL things by The WORD
and which has separated off what is Transitory and Inferior,

which has also Compacted ALL things into ONE.

But this is NOT that WOODEN CROSS
which you shall see when you go down from here;

nor am I the man who is on the Cross,

I whom now you do not see but only hear My Voice.

I was taken to be what I am NOT,
I who am NOT what for many others I was;
but what they will say of Me is mean and unworthy of Me.

Since then The Place of My Rest is neither to be seen nor told,

much more shall I, The Lord of this Place, be neither seen nor Told.

100. The Multitude around The CROSS that is Not of One Form is the Inferior Nature.

And those whom you saw in The CROSS, even if they have not yet One Form

Not every member of Him who has come down has yet been gathered together.

But when human nature is taken up, and The Race that comes to Me
and Obeys My Voice, then he who now hears Me Shall be United
with this Race and Shall no longer be what he now is,
but shall be above them as I am now.

For so long as you do not call yourself mine,
I am Not what I am;

but if you hear Me you also as a hearer Shall be as I am,
and I Shall be what I was, when you are as I am with Myself;
for from Me you are what I am.

Therefore ignore the many and despise those who are outside the mystery;
for you must know that I am wholly with The Father,
and The Father with Me.

101. So then I Suffer none of those things which they will say of Me;
even that Suffering which I showed to you
and to the rest in My Dance,
I will that it be called a mystery.

For what you are, that I have shown you, as you see;
but what I am is known to Me alone, and no one else.

Let Me have what is Mine; what is yours you must see through Me;
but Me you must See Truly not that which I am,
as I said, but that which you, as my kinsman, are able to know.

You hear that I Suffered, yet I Suffered not;
and that I Suffered not, yet I did Suffer;
and that I was pierced, yet I was not wounded;

that I was hanged, yet I was not hanged;
that blood flowed from Me, yet it did not flow;

and, in a word, that what they say of Me,
I did not endure, but what they do not say,
those things I did Suffer.

Now what these are, I secretly show you;
for I know that you will understand.

You must know Me, then, as the Torment of The LOGOS
the Wounding of The LOGOS, the Fasting of The LOGOS,
the Death of The LOGOS.

And so I speak, Discarding the manhood.
The First then that you MUST KNOW is THE LOGOS;
then you Shall Know The LORD, and Thirdly The MAN,
and what he has Suffered.:

102. When He had said these things to me, and others
which I know not how to say as He wills,

He was taken up, without any of the multitude seeing Him.

And going down I laughed at them all,
since He had told me what they had said about Him;
and I held this one thing fast in my Mind,
that The Lord had PERFORMED everything
as a SYMBOL and a DISPENSATION
for the CONVERSION and SALVATION of man. (MAN being the Soul and Not Flesh.)

103. Now, my brothers, since we have seen the grace of The Lord
and His affection towards us,
let us worship Him, since we have obtained mercy from Him;

NOT with our fingers, nor with our mouths nor with our tongue
nor with any member of our body at all,

but with The DISPOSITION of our SOUL;

After second thought, I said to myself, "Self, why let this go by the wayside?"

This thread, to some, may be of vital importance!

I will however not answer long drawn out posts to debunk what I've started out saying here. I don't mind the disagreements but it gets kind of boring reading long drawn out quotes just to make a point.

If however I let this die, then someone may miss what I believe to be a foundational truth.

If I see no interest, then far be it from me to choke anyone!
