I will try to keep it short. Does any of you know that a compatriot of mine (I'm Romanian also) invented the Hyper Cd-Rom? I mean a normal CD can store up to 700-900 MB of data, but the Hyper CD has the following stats ------>
Capacity: 10TB with extension to 100TB
Average data-transfer rate: 3Mb/s
Dimensions of CD-ROM-Drive: 80x150x300mm
Dimensions of CD-ROM: 10xø120mm
Thermic resistance: up to 550 deg. Celsius
Very high fiability
Stable in time (estimated to at least 5,000 years)

What do you think people?

The information on that page cites this hyper-drive was around in 1999 - give or take a few years or so. So this isn't new :-) Besides, the way things are going, any type of disk will be replaced very soon by memory sticks/card/whatever.
It's just a thought....

Yes u are right but think of the possibilities. If the cd had that capacity in 1999, think about what capacity could have in 2010. Give a thought about that
