If the Greeks hadn't joined the EURO, they would have been borrowing credit at the same interest rates over the past decade that is causing all the problems now.. So instead of getting rich and then reverting to cash strapped.. They would always have been a poor nation with their income dependent on tourism..

The EURO built Greece up into a modern, thriving State..... Greed, Corruption and Socialism built on cheap credit crashed it.. Thats why they are rioting...

If they weren't allowed join the EU, they would also have rioted.. Thats what Greeks do, they protest and Riot at the drop of a hat..
