(While typing up the title to this thread, I couldn't immediately tell if the whole thing would make it into the title bar. What you see here is the entire title to the article)

From the Media Research Center:
Nets Celebrate May Day Pro-Illegal Immigrant Protests, Barely Mention Shot Deputy

From Phoenix, CBS’s Bill Whitaker began with how the many citizens here say that if the politicians don't hear their voices today they might hear them at the ballot box a little louder in November,” but moments later in his story Whitaker showcased an admitted illegal:

Gerardo, who asked us to conceal his identity, crossed illegally from Mexico to Arizona four years ago. With the new law he knows there's a greater chance he’ll be arrested and deported...He has a daughter, a state job, a home which his an American born partner Jessica is packing up, fearing they might have to flee...So they joined the protest in Phoenix, fighting to overturn the law.

Not until deep in their stories did Horng and Whitaker mention the shooting of a deputy. Horng: “Just yesterday a sheriff's deputy was wounded during a gunfight in a well-known trafficking corridor for drugs and illegal immigrants.” Whitaker: “Pinal County deputy shot allegedly by a drug smuggler crossing illegally from Mexico.”

No, the bold emphasis in the above is NOT mine. That's the way it is in the article.

Yep, definite media spin...Even an admitted illegal says he has a state job? How the hell did he even get the job if he's admittedly illegal. And CBS has the gall to put it across like this is the way it's suppossed to be?

And even downplaying or "buried deep within the story" the fact that Border Enforcers are getting shot & killed...And absolutely no mention of American citizens who are getting shot & killed...by this literal invasion across our borders. This has been ongoing for more than a decade, people.

Then to remember that the most recent Bush as POTUS simply refused to enforce Immigration Law...Nay, even more, told Congress that he would not enforce the laws until Congress passed some kind of legislation that included amnesty. Obama continues on that same path, refusing to enforce the law (in violation of his Oath of Office to "faithfully execute the laws of the land")...Even going so far as to openly denigrate states (like Arizona, being followed now by several other states) for picking up the feds' slack. Increasingly, it seems that America's problems aren't from a criminal invasion from without...But an increasingly criminal government that no longer bothers to hide their criminality behind the flimsiest of veils.

Citizens getting killed, our nation invaded (& the invasion is still continuing), a government charged with the duty for defending us is openly refusing to do so...And the media plays this off like it's all the fault of "right-wing" conservatives protesting in the streets & calling into "talk radio" shows. How often do these MSM talking heads actually mention the issues that brought people into the streets & causes them to call the radio stations? If they mention the causing-issues at all, it's usually "buried" in the story about as deeply as the shootings involved.

Maybe it's about time the "politically correct" crowd addressed the term "Common Sense." I have no idea how the new phrase should be defined, unless they decide to call it "Common Nonsense" when referring to the government & the media. Personally, I'd call it "absurd," except that the definition for it includes "ridiculous"...And the whole mess is anything but "laughable."
