A life back home
where death is not as common.

Dying is more natural than killing.
Innocence stripped.
Guilt and fear inhabit dreams.

I've been asked more than once what inspired this piece. My Grandfather used to talk at length about WW2(except the camps. He wouldn't go into any more detail than that they existed.) It always fascinated me. I wrote this for him back in '99(found it in a box). He passed in '01.
