Neno, I know that -as you've said many times, whatever Judy-Gal does always
leads any willing victim back to the e-book, but I'm wondering if the 'Lass-with-the
-man's ass' hasn't accepted this and is attempting to adjust her ploys to suit.

The yearn for money is very strong.

Sure! I've even got a couple of extra covert spycams I'll let go cheap, or I can direct you to a place to get brand-new ones at a cut rate discount!

Se, the NSA/CIA/MI6?Mossad/ETC. evidently over-ordered, and are over-stocked. They're having a warehouse/supply depot clearance sale. The stuff is of Chinese manufacture, but works really well, as I can attest to. Government contracts sometimes go to the cheapest bidder, y'know?

Anyhow, could I interest you in a spy camera with sound recorder disguised as a cigarette lighter to go along with that long, lipstick besmeared cigarette? I'm guessing the model disguised as a car remote might not be appropriate in all cases...

Every double-nought spy knows that stuff like that should always look plausible, rather than out of place. That's another lesson Judy could benefit from.

Er, I'm not very good with gadgets and the-like, couldn't I be just a paripheral
player...? show a bit of leg, that sorta stuff?

Perhaps, but if so she's still doing it WRONG. One should really try to get behind the eyeballs of the target audience. I do that every so often, and initiate a search from the perspective of one of Wayne and Judy's prospective victims.

You should see the collection of copies of The Book I have amassed from that! That's why I can say in all confidence that they're doing it WRONG, and that they should continue to do as they are, by all and any means available.

There's a lot to be learned by partying like it's 1099, and pretending for just a bit that you're a Wayneite, which is an organism that hails from that era of mystery and magick!

I know from other responses from you, you have a penchant for dealing with
wild animals and tracking their spoor.
Does this sort of tracking fall in with the hunt for desperate fleeing beasties?!

That's a great perspective, see yourself as other see you or as Robert De Niro
says Godfather II, "try to think as others around you think... with that in mind,
anything is possible"

Yeah, but folk want that. These days, the Knights are no more and the Dragons
are dead... the business man has vanquished the dark and Conan Doyle's fairies
have been stamped on and all thats left is some soggy paper and bent hatpins!

Wayne knows it's sugar he's offering and as long as there's nobody there to
shout "heh...! that stuff'll make yer' sick!" -then he can spoon-feed the willing
and make a buck or two.

Sure, but keep your knees together this time, mmkay? Don't want to frighten the natives again!

I'll be heading out into the Green shortly, to test some of those new networks. Will try to post from there, and if it don't work, I'll be back in 36 hours or so, give or take 4 days.

Lesson #17 for Judy: Keep your plans fluid and vague. Too much detail will spoil the broth.

I'll be sending my bill for all these lessons you're getting!

It was quite embarrassing last time.

A bit of the psychology behind that is this: most people think, on the most basic subconscious level, that everyone else views the world as they do. Because of that, they expect everyone to act - and REACT - the way they do to any given thing.

They simply can't conceive of the mystifying way other folks behave, until they've realized that.

That applies to tracking frightened critters, too, but it takes a good bit of practice to get into the head of another species... OR, a certain psychological imbalance!

OR a bit of both...

Well, it might not be worth waking him up for, this time! You know those folks need their beauty sleep!

Desperately!

Yes! I often say this and a lot of folk around me look at me like I'm crazy!
Mind you, it could be the long black hair and the stilettoes.
(It can't be the dress... can it?)

What if Wayne came clean about Judy's involvement? I mean, I doubt it would
be the truth, but if he gave a version of the truth that would absolve him of the
hoaxes.
He could say that the was 'dragged along' just like the rest of us and though, he'd
been tempted by his/her discussions about money-making and aiding his book sales,
he had seen the error of his ways and decided to take the high road.

Would CIA operatives like us believe him?
(Dammit! I shouldn't have said that)

I'm sure he could thrash out a version of that which would be believable. He tried once before, when he was first trying to distance himself from the whole thing, but he just didn't follow through with it.

It did NOT help his case that he's recently started trying to lend her his support again. That just looks bad... VERY bad... and will make further damage control on his part unbelievable difficult if he doesn't bail out and come clean soon.

I know that as I said to Eletheia regarding Judy having possible shame
for leaving his family behind and the question above about Wayne telling
a truth... I may seem to come off as nieve.
I'm not, I just can't figure a way out of this and see how Herschel can be
taken seriously, even if his ideas are just that... ideas.

For Judy/Jim, I believe there's no hope. She/he's so-far gone along the
deceit trail, James wouldn't be able to 'go straight' for very long before the
yearnings to decieve would be too much.

It's a pit... and they dug it.

It's 2100 zulu, and I'm going TDY right now. Will attempt initiation of comm links from on-station, otherwise back in 36 or so.

My, this "spy talk" IS fun... and terribly exciting!

It's very vexing that my cloak and dagger have been put on back-order!

(In a prudish English way of speaking)...
I have no idea of what you have just said. Is this American-speak?
It all became too fast for me after the Cold War, Sir.

Oh no, that's "spy talk", so that Wayne and Judy will be able to follow what I'm up to with their backgrounds in SA Military Intelligence and all that!

Had to come back to get my dark glasses and fedora, which I nearly forgot in my excitement.

See ya in the Tall Grass!

Oh I see... it's all very secretive.
As you say, Wayne's whole year in the Military will assist him in understanding
your 'Spy' words. For me, two months in the Girl Guides (before they found out)
made me a killer cookie-maker.
