Arizona, which recently passed the strongest anti-immigrant law in the nation, has now found itself the breeding ground of yet even more strident immigration foes.

The National Socialist Movement is now passing out flyers celebrating Cinco de Mayo as "Report An Illegal Day." Cinco de Mayo typically celebrates the anniversary of Mexican independence.

The flyer, acquired by a local news station, calls for recipients to fax or email Congress demanding that the "border be secured." It also seeks the aid of local businesses in an effort to verify and turn people in to the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Yahoo Group page for National Socialist Movement Arizona describes the organization as a "civil rights organization for White people of America."

Well the situation in Arizona continues to heat up and it looks like it is not going anywhere anytime soon. It seems that people from all over are taking more and more brazen steps to fight illegal immigration.

They are taking more brazen steps to fight "illegal immigration" as a proxy for a racist agenda.

Stop the hate.

Did not take long for the race card to be played.

Yes, there are places on the net to report employers for hiring illegals.

Need a job? Find a place that has a bunch of illegals working for them. Report them and go apply.

Sounds like a plan to me!

I strongly support enforcing the immigration laws, but the national Socialist Movement is the last group that I want on my side.

Good call!

Agreed, not a big fan of that party....however, what a great idea. Mkes sense, report them, then deport them. I know some bleeding heart will come on here and place that tired worn out race card.......but it happens all of the time with drug houses etc. It's a crime, report it........if it happens on Cinqo De Mayo, all the better, those from Mexico can celebrate in their homeland and wave their Mexican flags all they want.

The idea, to me, is a good one - but I don't support the party whatsoever. It is also clear that the party is using the legal infrastructure for means of a racist act. Their philosophy on "white people" should paint that clearly.

I wouldn't doubt if people use this for more fire for the racist card regardless.

In reference to the article's stated motivation for choosing May 5th, by this group:

If one does not know the difference between May 5th and September 16th (in reference to Mexico) than perhaps one should consider going back to school, rather than supporting or passing out hate-material disguised as good-deeds.

There are better, more appropriate, ways to go about this.

However,

The one-page flier calls on people to fax or email Congress and demand that the border be secured. It also wants people to ask local businesses to participate in e-verify and to turn in people to DHS and ICE.

This is not a bad idea at all. Business should be pressured into and held legally liable for verifying documentation. This is a great focus.

Why did you put "illegal" in double quotes? To try and make people doubt that illegal is well, illegal? Sheesh.

Second, illegal is not a race. If a perfectly white person doesn't have papers, he or she is going to go through same procedures.

The problem with this proposal is the wrong illegal aliens will get reported. Are we better off if we report deport some hard working janitors who do the jobs we do not want to do? The proposal would be great if it were limited to illegal aliens who causing problems like gang members and people free loading off the welfare roles.

Well no need having anyone being legal actually working here. Just so they send their money to Mexico to sustain there economy? Right?

Wrong illegal aliens?

So some are more equal than others?

Sounds a little Orwellian to me.

Labor is a commodity just like any other. When you increase the supply the demand goes down. Now if you have individuals that undercut the other components of the labor pool, what happens?

Oh, that is right, stagnant and decreasing wages.

No big deal right?

At least the mega corps and the banksters are making their money. At least the lawyers and government officials are making their money.

Pffft.

Excuse me? I had to laugh when I read this. What is the difference between and illegal, and an illegal? None, they are both illegal!

If they are here illegally, then they are all wrong!

You don't want the Arizona government taking care of it.....you don't want the police taking care of it.....you don't want the military taking care of it....and now you don't want people taking care of it?

The only problem with this is the word "WHITE" in the group's name. Had that not been there, far fewer would have a problem with this. But again, when all else fails, pull out the race card.

They ask for the borders to be secured. [this, according to Federal Law, should already have been done]

They ask for people to report illegals. [so does the Federal Government since knowing about a person being illegal and assisting them in any way -- including hiding the fact that they are illegal- is a felony.]

The bottom line is this:

The have picked May 5th as a day to enforce Federal Laws already in place to prevent illegal immigrants from living here, working here, and/or committing crimes here.

Now we are against enforcing our own laws? Ones that were around before Arizona had to pass their own version? Interesting.

If anybody who breaks any law is wrong, then we are all wrong.

Not all illegal aliens are the same. Some are contributing to our country and making it a better place. Some of them are causing trouble and freeloading off the system. You cannot say some honest, hard working illegal alien is the same as an illegal alien who is a member of a vicious gang.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree with this statement. Perhaps you break the law. How do you figure everybody else does?

If you think contributing by way of getting paid cash and not paying taxes makes this country a better place, then, you're hopeless! Suppose all legal citizens decided that was ok? No illegal person would want to come here, because there would be nothing for them to come here for!

It doesn't matter that some are causing more problems than others by being in a vicious gang. They are all still here, ILLEGALLY!

What about that do you not get?

As to point #1, are you going to tell me that you never broke the law. You are going to tell me that you never drive above the speed limit, you never got a parking ticket, and you never use your cell phone while driving. If so, then you are one of the rare people that has never broken a law.

As to your second point, you cannot deny that there is some benefit to having illegal aliens here. Whether the benefits outweigh the costs is a subject of debate. Illegal aliens provide cheap labor. Some of them work under the table, some of them actually pay taxes and file tax returns. I know this because I used to help illegal aliens file tax returns while working at a tax preparation clinic.

Arizona did not pass an anti immigration law. We passed an ANTI ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION LAW. There is a big difference. Ignorant people keep lumping the legal immigrants in with the illegal ones just to be race baiters.

Are you honestly comparing speeding, parking tickets, and using your cellphone while driving to entering a country illegally and in most cases breaking a countries law every moment that you are present in said country?

That is laughable.

I have never had a ticket of any sort, and I have been driving for 32 years. I don't leave my cell phone on when I am in the car. So, yes, I guess I am rare!

So, who's social security numbers were they using when you helped them file tax returns? If they had their own number, they wouldn't be here illegally!
