In truth, no I don't think they will. However, looking as I do I expect it when I'm out and about. People seem to put cops on a higher level than others simpoly not true. Everyday people show their bias in surprising ways, why shoud cops be any different? Perfect example, I am a retired 1%ER, while traveling along I-70 about 5 years ago, me and some of my brothers were cruising along at about 90 mph. The posted speed limit in this area is 75mph. Anyway, while passing a woman in a car, with 2 kids in the back seat, 3 of us noticed her reach over her shoulder and lock her car door. Now, what the hell, were we gonna break into her car and assault her or her kids at 90mph on motorcycles? See, the funny part is, I have 4 kids, yet she chose to act in such a manner based upon percieved bias that she has. Why, should a cop be any different? The law has rules in place against profiling. Do I think people will be profiled anyway, hell yes I do? Did profiling happen before the new law? Hell yes it did, the only reason it's a problem now, is the illegals stakes in the game just went up. All in all, ya gotta take the good with the bad........if they get profiled caught and deported, it just wasn't their day.

So some idiots completely misunderstood and misidentified an issue and in their ignorance decided to blame the wrong thing. The Arizona brand tea thing is silly too.

Take it from a Hispanic American born in the U.S.A., Half white/Half Mexican. The law is a piece of crap and everyone should boycott Arizona!!! I know I am. A matter of fact I think a Huge wall should be built encasing the hole state with no exits!!!! That would teach them.

essentially your saying there's better ways than the laws citizens voted for?

better for who?

whats the difference between an illegal immigrant and a foreign invader in your opinion?

i mean based on your current argument there would be no need for a foreign threat to invade us, they would just have to simply get here and cry the same nonsense your crying.

and what about all the rapist's? i suppose we need to cut a deal with all of them too? what they did is just as illegal.

har har har

Generalizing are we? Very big of you to throw all illegal immigrants in the same group you would rapists. Should we throw all American soldiers in the same group as terrorists?

I enjoy Arizona Black and White Tea. It isn't two separate drinks, it is one drink with both black and white tea in it.

I like it because it is made with sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, and this fact isn't advertised on the front of the can as a way to appeal to those avoiding HFCS. It simply is made with sugar and tastes great.

Unfortunately I rarely find it anywhere.

On Topic:

The ease of spreading messages via means like Facebook and Twitter and other internet-based mediums allows an endeavor like boycotting Arizona Tea to gain speed quite quickly, even if it's based on wrong info.

Morons is right. :p

In what way is it unconstitutional?

Please elaborate =)

When you detain someone because they are suspected to be something they're not is quite unconstitutional.
That's just my opinion though

And if they are illegal then they are guilty of a crime. If they are not illegal then they are not detained. Its the same as pulling over someone for swerving in the road. They may not be drunk, but the LEO pulling him over is going to consider that the first possibility and go from there. Your logic is flawed and if your opinion is based on your logic....

I see you missed the point entirely. But it's ok, I'm too tired to even educate you on the situation at hand

Been reading lots of immigration threads lately, obviously. The thing that stands out in my mind is that everyone against strict immigration laws eventually cite in one way or another "There's just got to be a better way." Like this is the logical debate ender. What we have is flawed so let's throw the baby out with the bath water.
Instead of just stating the obvious, why don't all the pro-lax-immigration people SUGGEST a better way. Hmm... come up with something. Let's hear a real solution in your minds. Complaining is easy, solutions are hard especially to a problem as large, and complex as this. Arizona had a lot of courage to do what they see as right vs. popular, and a viable(not perfect) solution to a really bad problem. C'mon guys people are dying because the crime in high immigration areas is so bad. At this point opinions on how un-PC it is are pretty lame. How offended will your sensibilties be in a few years when Sancho is pointing his shiny .45 at your kids? I guess you can take solace in the fact they died so a certain ethnic group wouldn't ever be made to feel a little uncomfortable.
The problem is that we let it get out of hand, and stay out of hand for far too long. We let the mouse in the kitchen, then gave him a cookie, the glass of milk wasn't too hard either. Now two decades later he's 6'2" tall weight 250#, and wants to eat your dog, and is making passes at the wife. Oh well... let's just give in to him again. Maybe he'll stop his power grab out of the kindness of his heart.

The world is an aggressive place. Deal with it! If the law isn't touchy feely enough for you, go hug a drug lord. If you have your way you'll need the brownie points with your new masters.
The AZ law is a reflection of Fed. law already well established, and passed by a majority vote, but not enforced. Thanks AZ for sticking up for OUR laws, WE voted for!!! Or did WE forget that at some point?

My last name is Moran, because children call me names like Moron I am boycotting all products from California because of the hate crime calling me a moron. They have violated my civil rights and I will take legal action based on defemation of character.

Completely sarcastic, but where does this end? Illegal means just that. If you want to live in America sign the guest book and pay taxes like the rest of us. We really do not care about immigration as long as you are a law abiding, tax paying citizen.

What is so difficult to understand about this? Our forefathers were illegal immigrants by definition, but they payed taxes to support the system that protected them even if it was hemp. These immigrants come here and take advantage of the system meanwhile sending their money back to Mexico or wherever TAXFREE.

Become a legal citizen, pay taxes like the rest of us and nobody will care. What is all the craziness about? I don't get it.

You REALLY believe that because I'm worried about how this law could be abused that means I'm all for any kind of illegal activity?

How could this law be abused, really? Are you suggesting that if somebody is pulled over for speeding, and cannot present I.D. on the spot, they are just going to be deported to wherever the cop believes they are from?? I'm really confused about what kind of abuses you folks are so scared of. A good percentage of our police here in AZ are hispanic among many other races, you people act like they're ALL white and ALL racist, just waiting to start deporting ANY kind of latino they can catch without I.D. It's just ridiculous, and even with the change in the language to say people can only be asked if they are pulled over, or stopped for some violation, and that crime victims or witnesses won't be asked, you guys STILL oppose this common sense law. I believe the small, but vocal group of protesters hung up on skin color are the true racists.

Don't they realize that we need illegal aliens to provide cheap labor? They are just higher-paid slaves, horribly enough...
Bad joke.

Slightly more on topic: I hope we don't see too much violence through all this.
I do think this bill is a step in the right direction but the fear of racial profiling is justified since legal immigrants don't want to be harassed because of illegal immigrants pouring into the states.

Interesting.

So lets just boycott everything with the word Arizona in it. That is a plan that is sure to work.

Here's an idea. Why not take something dumb but loosely associated to a protest and associate the two so that all those who are part of that protest movement can be guilty by association. Then, invite a whole bunch of simpletons in that agree with your rhetorical question? (How hard is that?)

Perhaps those "uneducated" people are upset because they don't like a program that encourages racial profiling or a mindset that asks people to seek out "outsiders" hidden among us. Perhaps people are upset that those like yourself go to the supermarket everyday and buy cheap fruits and vegetables without ever asking why the prices are so low? Perhaps "uneducated" people look at someone like yourself who walks around in a comfortable hypocrisy buying cheap food and think you're living with your head underwater.

Perhaps "uneducated" people waste time reading history books filled with the US exploiting cheap foreign labor from China to build railroads and free foreign labor from Africa to grow Tobacco and Cotton.

Perhaps "uneducated" people spend time looking for the real problems with society rather than simply scapegoating society's ills on a population that is not applicable for welfare and who annually dumps billions into social security using fake social numbers that will never be used to collect social security benefits.

Perhaps "uneducated" people spend a lot less time than you watching Fox News, picking the next McCarthy to tell us who to hate and fear and blame. Terrorists, Communists, illegal aliens - who will be phantom cause for tearing america apart today? You people are pathetic. Can't you gather hearts and minds without an enemy? Try leading people with intelligent and rational thought rather than herding them into angry mobs with threats of eminent destruction.
