Cloud-Creating Laser Could Trigger Rain On Demand

gizmodo.com

German scientists, working in a controlled lab environment, have successfully used a laser to create clouds. The next step is a simple one: Use this technology to create clouds and rain on demand in the skies over Germany.

here we go ...

This is the begining of the end. after here is the german playing with nature.

something are meant to be left alone.

so i guess weather control is not that far fetch after all .

i wonder what else they can acheive with that technology.
storm, quake ?

playing with nature should be forbited

Actually, I see this as the beginning of the beginning.

Weather control is one of the main criteria of becoming limited masters of our own destiny and making the leap from a stage 0 to a stage 1 civilisation.

Yes, there is probably some evil genius kind of thing that could be done with this technology, BUT, the benefits of something like this in places like Africa and rural Australia would be huge!!

Bring it on I say

In a bizarre way, this totally reminds me of Wilhelm Reich's Orgone machine.

Some information for anyone interested.
en.wikipedia.org...

en.wikipedia.org...

It is an old school conspiracy theory, and everyone should at least take a look at it.

The Claim : His machine could create rain too.

Enjoy!

Good catch, S&F, but old news re: weather modification.

FOIA: HAARP Research and Applications Joint Program Report

rapturas, 2007
It was concluded that an HF transmitter located in the auroral zone, with ground power three times larger than the one at Tromso and operationally enhanced with the flexibility provided by the most advanced phased array and software technology, would provide the nation with unprecedented capability to locally control the state of the ionosphere. The workshop endorsed the HAARP transmitter as the cornerstone of the transition from ionospheric research to technology and application.

Patent #5,003'186 was issued to Hughes Aircraft in April of 1990. It covers the use of aluminum oxide and other metal oxides to be sprayed at an altitude of 10 kilometers for stratospheric seeding for reduction of global warming . This patent can be read in full by searching by patent # here patft.uspto.gov... . U.S. Senate Bill 1807 & U.S. House Bill 3445 both weather modification programs are being fast tracked through Congress. These programs are to be conducted with no public oversight whatsoever. Artificial weather modification can impact all of us by chemically polluting our water supplies, changing agricultural crop production cycles and micro-climates, reducing crop production, and water availability.

Based on what?

If this can bring rain to areas of Africa that are parched and in need of drinking water then how can you make that statement?

Any technology is apt to be abused by those who would exploit to it to selfish ends and you could make your argument for any technology, not just this one.

If we heeded every warning that humanity isn't mature enough to possess that technology we would all be on the level of Amish folks. Or worse, we would be still living in caves since the wheel is a tech that we aren't mature enough to possess.

Forget clouds and rain.. Can they invent something that brings sunshine and heatwaves, then bring it over to the UK.

This will be useful in the near future due to the Ocean life going extinct...

Due to the massive oil spill..

Maybe it can be fixed....

Good news IMHO.

base on the fact...

human invent hunting gear....they kill them self with it...
human discover nuclear energy... they make a bomb with it
and now
human invent weather control...(what do you think they are gonna do with it)...?

They have found that they can cause it to rain with lasers. They have also been successful at causing lightning to strike a desired target with lasers - UV lasers in fact, so you wouldn't even see that the strike was "triggered".

Imagine a huge thunderstorm over your enemies city, and you had the ability to fly a stealth plane in or over the thunderstorm, and then pulse a UV laser onto a sensitive spot in their power grid, or other spot vulnerable to a huge lightning strike, with "natural causes".

You may be right not even a dozen posts and someone is already thinking of using it in a combat situation.
