What's funny is that I'm not even a democrat. The group could say the same thing about John McCain, and I would give the same response.

Neither am I. Nor am I a Republican for that matter. What's your point? How does that excuse you accusing 900k people you've never met before of being teenagers or college kids who regurgitate whatever their parents say?

Look, you're missing the point. The point I was making is that it's not like this group is a bunch of political scientists and historical scholars--so it shouldn't be taken so seriously. I am trying to support NOT closing the group down. It's just a bunch of random people who all have their own motives of joining. In my experience, and I have quite a lot of experience talking politics with people of all age groups, the one's who say and support things like the praying of Obama's death aren't the most politically intelligent. In fact, in my experience, those who conform to that sort of statement are likely just "hardcore" Republicans because their mommy and daddy are, and they are basically raised hearing statements about how Democrats are just socialist bastards stealing our hard earned money. You are being far too critical of my words, and are simply poking at the diction I've used to describe my opinion.

I don't need to know the members personally to deduce that they are far right of the spectrum.

Seems to me that making assumptions about people you don't know is never a good thing. Especially when you have no idea why any of them joined that group or how many joined it just to tell the rest of them that they're idiots for praying that he dies.

I don't need to know anyone personally to believe that they are idiots if they truly believe in the death of our President.

Do you know any educated political scientists who wish Obama dead? Didn't think so.

I don't personally know any educated political scientists so the obvious answer is no. That doesn't mean there aren't any that do wish him dead and I'm not presumptuous enough to assume I know the thoughts of people I've never met before.

I have yet to meet or read of a distinguished professor, scholar, scientists, etc who has wished death to Obama.

As I already said, you're taking my words and twisting them into generalized statements and overlooking their meaning. This is why you continue to bring up the argument on how "You don't know these people personally, blah blah blah, you can't make any assumptions about them, blah blah blah." Please, spare me your opinions on why my opinions are wrong, and I won't give you mine about how the connection I was making in the first place is way over your head.

The code you're looking for to prevent typing inside quotes is [/ quote] without the space.

That said. I understood fully what you were trying to say. However, making sweeping generalizations about people you don't know makes you no better than the person who claims all blacks are lazy, all whites are redneck hillbillies, or all Muslims are suicide bombers. Apparently, you missed my point.

You don't know that everyone in that group is actually praying for his death though, now do you. You unfairly labeled almost a million people as idiots without knowing if they actually are praying for his death or if only 50k are while the other 950k joined to tell them they're idiots.

I have yet to meet or read of a distinguished professor, scholar, scientists, etc who has wished death to Obama.

Doesn't mean they don't exist. Not everyone puts all their thoughts out in the open. That's all I'm saying.

As I already said, you're taking my words and twisting them into generalized statements and overlooking their meaning.

Didn't need to twist anything. You're the one who blew a gasket when I asked if you knew 900k of those group members personally and knew for a fact they were teenagers and college kids who are just regurgitating what their parents tell them. Apparently I've touched a nerve without meaning to.

Please, spare me your opinions on why my opinions are wrong, and I won't give you mine about how the connection I was making in the first place is way over your head.

Yes, because I'm obviously too much of an idiot to understand a sweeping generalization for what it is.

Look, I think the ones actually praying for his death are idiots for doing so too. I just don't see the logic in labeling 900k people as teenagers and college-kids when none of us know how many of those one million actually are praying for his death and how many only joined to tell the rest they're idiots for doing so. But please, feel free to continue making baseless claims and accusations unhindered. I'll bother you with my common sense no more.

Thank you, for put it in better terms than I am able to express. For some reason, I've been having trouble doing that lately... maybe because I fell off my meds!

Just because you(ProUSA) assume that 90% of the people are idiots, teenagers, college kids, doesn't exactly make you right. Fact is, I will be in college in June, as I haven't started yet. I, also, am not a teenager, as I am 24. I waited to go to college after the military, so I could take time to unwind from that life, but I was working full time since my senior year of high school.

I think people in my situation have learned enough along the way to take a stance, and to make up our own minds over wether something is funny or not. I have a VERY morbid sense of humor some times, so as stated before, I thought its was a funny joke. Morbidly written, and borderline treasonist, BUT the last time I checked, making a statement/joke with no intent to act on it is not an act of treason.

I am praying this oil well cap BP is using for the first time will work.

I don't think it is called a "prayer" when it is a request for a negative outcome for another person.
God's will be done is as far as we are given in any wish in Catholicism. You can pray for success of self, over others I suppose, (admit I don't know the prayer rules) except that to pray for the death of a healthy person is not a prayer.

It is a curse - mouthed by heathens worshiping their heathen God.
