Project Prevention is here in the UK

Having nursed babies born to drug and alcohol dependent mothers, I am undecided on this one.

Have seen babies born who go through withdrawl symptoms,who have multiple problems such as brain damage and lifetime learning dificulties because of the mothers addiction.

Would it not be better to offer them long term contraception, a programme of getting them of the habit with a cash incentive at the end when and if they are clean.
