Are writers of games trying to get the word out ?

We are now starting to see that there could be a lot more conspiracy theorists than the blue pill takers would like to think in their comfortable world of illusion. Could we be a silent majority! it would be nice to think so.
We are watching them watching us and Theo Chalmers (on the edge) is watching them watching us watching him.

Pac Man. You run around popping pills and listening to techno. You can certainly see how these games effect people and can sometimes predict the future.

army of two - you start the game out as an army ranger (either Rios or Salem) in desert storm and after the first mission, you and you're partner leave the army, with your CO (Dalton) and join a private military corp for more money.

now, you're out and about, traveling to different spots around the world to find 'terrorists' and complete arms deals.

in the end, it's revealed that Dalton, now your boss in the pmc, is leaking troop locations to the terrorists, to make the contractors look better by comparison in order to pressure the US gov't to pass a bill, privatizing all of the armed forces. dalton also sets you up to assassinate a US senator that is against the bill. but you save the day and take out dalton.

during the final cutscene it's revealed that the head of pmc, a character named stockwell, turns himself in as an accomplice of dalton's plan and only receives a 3-month jail sentence.

seems like they definitely played off of real life with companies like blackwater, etc. and nothing's more believable than the billionaire ceo getting off easy in the end.

Yup, I was about to say Assassin's Creed 2. That game is absolutely a conspiracy theorist's dream come true.

Oblivion IV features as it's main storyline the writings of Mankar Cameron, and the twisted religion of a secret society of red-robed zeolots known as the Mythic Dawn, andtheir worship of the Daedric lord of destruction, Mehrunes Dagon - a four-armed demon who also owns the fiery and blasted planes of oblivion. To enter his realms, you walk along blasted landscapes completely surrounded by lakes of lava under blood red skies.

The doorkeeper at the hidden shirine also intones something very similar to ...
"The time of Gathering is almost done, it is almost the time of Clensing".

It is interesting to note that Tamriel, the world, is known as "the arena", The fragmenting Cyrodiil empire follows dragon worship including huge statues, dragons on the coins, and the lighting of the dragonfires to close the gates of Oblivion. There is also the assassins guild known as the Dark Brotherhood, led by the Night Mother.

So yes, I see a few links to reality there, especially taking into consideration the occultic and religion.

One thing to keep in mind.

Many of the writers, makers, programmers, designers, artists etc. behind games could be described by the general populace as, "geeks", "nerds", "egg-heads", "conspiracy theorists", etc, etc, etc.

In other words, they'd fit right in and be right at home here on ATS because many of them are just like many of us.

So, it little wonder they make games that involve the very things we talk about.

It has already been mentioned but Deus Ex is heavy in the conspiracy realm.

While there are overt examples that people always mention, such as the aliens, MJ-12, Illuminati, and government cover ups, there is the little fact that on the first level, which takes place in New York, the world trade center buildings are missing from the back ground. The game came out in 2000.

haha yes that is a great point about the world trade center buildings being missing.

Not one person mentioned the conduit. It was filled with Easter egg facts about UFO landings not usually known by the average person (ie kecksburg pa,virginha Brasil ) it's got annunaki, the main bad guy is enlil and has been posing as John Adams. It's got masons, illuminati, sumerian gods,Washington dc ,all that. It's like halo for the wii. And it' even got Kevin Sorbo. I give it 9/10. (minus 1 point for not including Kevin Bacon)

Fallout 3 with the idea of survivors, mutants and underground facilities is acftually bothersome to play at some points when you realize that this is what the NWO people would like for the rest of us.

I can tell you that as a combat veteran, there were times when it almost felt like a flashback to areas destroyed by war. It's a cool game but overall, prophetic and uncool when considering the overall character of life after annihilation.

They arent trying to "get anything out". Pretty much every conspiracy theory is purely entertainment and it is easy to write a story if you base it on events that never happened. Plus, conspiracy theorists go nutty over seeing the stuff they spend their lives arguing in main stream media presentations.

That's just our takes on the games we have played, looking back on them with the advantae of having studied what we have. It seems we were not alone. There are so many parallels, and please don't be fooled by a label called "fantasy".

Crackdown for the xbox360 is pretty crazy. You play as a super cop and your goal is stop the gangs that are currently running the city. When you beat the game your commanding officer tells you how you just helped the NWO take over. He goes on to say how they put the gangs there to scare the people and then deployed the super cops so they can completely control the people, since they where so fearful and wanted a savior to help them.

Ring any bells. lol

Has anybody noticed one thing about gaming companies and their employees? They are 95% mostly white. But they are all EEO.....

Assassins Creed; Pieces of Eden.."those who came before"....very intriguing. Perhaps there have been manufactured ELE throughout each "age" as humans undergo evolutionary changes; or perhaps the slave population begins to know too much and the Tower of Babel must be destroyed for the sake of controlling the obedient sleepwalkers.
