Found this awesome clip from Universe Today. Everything looks more amazing when you see it in slow motion.

What you'll see...



A 16mm camera located near the base of the Saturn V rocket captured incredible detail about the ignition and lift off of the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon. The high-quality video slows down 30 second of footage to about 8 minutes...


Just thought I'd share... I recommend watching it all, pretty neat.

That was great!

The one thing I really wish was that cameras could capture the actual color of the flame column of the rockets/space shuttle. It is a deep golden color that is really quite amazing, especially during night launches.
