I want to know who you think made a better President so far. Bush or Obama? Why do you think what you think? Do you hate the one you didn't pick or do you just disagree with them?

To early to tell.

Ask again after Obamas first term is up.

Neither. Bush began the rush to tyranny and Obama is just continuing it. It's the biggest con game in history and way too many are falling for it.

I agree with the previous two posters.

Though Bush and his cronies crammed in the patriot-act by about this time. And that is way worse than universal-healthcare.

Edit, not necessarily accurate, but you know what I mean...

That's like asking, 'who is the better driver, the person who drove the car into the ditch, or the mechanic trying to repair it?'

But seriously, at least we haven't been hit by a massive attack on the homeland.

It is way too early to tell, though. Reagan was more unpopular than Obama at this point in his first term, so it shows how premature it is to discuss the final analysis on Obama's presidency.

All in all, I give Obama a 'B' up til now. I know you are probably trying to birth another paranoid vent of a thread, but that's my honest answer. Also, the things I think Obama could do better would probably result in the haters hating even more.

Here is the Bush, in his own words, we all supposedly were electing. Did he live up to what he was promising:

Alright, time to sit-back and see how my sentiments are converted into me thinking Obama is a messiah or something.

Bush=Obama as Bush=Clinton as Clinton=Bush as Bush=Reagan as Reagan=Carter all the way back to the last president that did NOT encroach on the rights of the citizens.

Just as Dem=Repub

If you control the money, you control the government, if you control the food, you control the people.

So, the food has been the last in the control parameters to be enacted. No more individual small producers. Now it is mega ag controlled by the few.

As for Obama directly compared to Bush.

Patriot Act
Two Wars
Deficit Spending
Control
Tax
etc
etc
etc
etc
etc

Well I like that Obama made healthcare a right and hopefully soon he will give us a right to proper housing. You know a bedroom for each family member, a wing for the crying babies (so we dont have to listen to them), and a bathroom for every person and an extra one for visitors.

I am thinking the right to..........dang it, I cannot think of another lie he can come up with.

Maybe............the right of travel?

Have we come up with that one?

Everyone has the right to travel. So, you are to be forced to buy a car. I do not remember if that one was covered yet.

LOL, well you are close. I just read an article a week or so ago where the Europeans are working to make international vacation a human right. OF course they are doing it right. They arent makng you buy a plain, just paying for your vacation with tax dollars and using public resorts as the place to stay.

You might be onto an idea with forcing us to buy cars. We might all have to buy a GM. Just think that will be for all of those hard working auto workers.

ha! - that comic was awesome.

Its a shame that really is a somewhat accurate depiction of the way people think. We're all too binary, there is no institutional or cultural memory anymore.

The last real President you guys had was JFK.

Just so you don't think I am just blowing smoke.

AN overseas holiday used to be thought of as a reward for a year’s hard work. Now Brussels has declared that tourism is a human right and pensioners, youths and those too poor to afford it should have their travel subsidised by the taxpayer.

You joke of such a horrid, horrid world in which people have a house to live, food to eat, basic access to health care, and some time and means to take a vacation from work. What's next, assurances of clean air, a non-devastated gulf coast, drinkable running water, and safe food to eat (even if it reduces profits a tiny bit)????

Careful, before you know it, women will have a vote, and those judicial activists will tamper w/ the constitution and say that slaves are not property that count as 3/5 of a person.

Gasp, it's 1984! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have a good point. Maybe I should also sue my employer for not paying for my families trip to Disneyland. They just gave me paid time off, but then I had to pay for the flight, hotel, food, and admisson to Disney. It made me over run my credit cards and its all their fault.

Skunk I don't believe its 1984, but I do know to whom or rather, to the general blanket stereotyping that comment was directed at...

The basic philosophical difference is such as "No man is an island" and "Everyman is an island". Some believe in sovereign social contracts, where the individual ultimately enters on their own accord, based upon the terms that they have agreed to with another party. Whereas the other school of thought believes we as a collective should all retain the same thing, be given all the same, etc.

While neither are bad on their own, enter Man...

As for the OP: Too early, too soon and who really cares? Why do we focus so much on comparing people to others? President Bush was who he was. President Obama is who he is. The two share similarities and also exhibit deep divides in other areas. Each has their faults, according to those that are against their policies and politics, while each have their praises according to those that support as such.

It is the end of the world as we know it and-

I feel fine!

Dune by Frank Herbert

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Fear is the tool of the corrupt and tyrannical. Fear is nothing, it is a stage in a revelation that all things die, all things end, all things are finite, except for ones honor and integrity. One must not fear for fear, is the mind killer.

And with that-

Dude, are you a researcher for the straw-man and red-herring institute, or what?

What next, are you going to belittle the government establishing a working system of plumbing because if it's built the greedy little citizens will demand sewage being converted into wine?

You are trying to make fearful slippery slopes out of anthills.

Best,

Neither.

There has not been a President in the USA since the late John F. Kennedy, Last President and Martyr of the Republic.

(That's how I see it north of the border.)

OMG thank you sooo much. Another voice of reason!!! I've been so angry with people that last year. People are just screaming at how Obama's taking their rights away... how Obama's spending IS SO OUT OF CONTROL..etc..etc...

Where were these people the last 8 flippin years? I've said for a long time that people will start to wake up... (you know the ones..the sleeping, greedy, self righteous, pompous ASSHOLES.) When all this crap that's been going on within our very corrupt political system starts to happen in their own back yard...that's when we'll hear those assholes cry the loudest!!!

I cannot believe that People forgot that Bush threatened Congressional Martial Law if they did NOT sign the first Bail-out bill. For some reason all that has been dumped on Obama's door step, along with him being a socialist of course..lol Do I like Obama.. O hell no! He lied to us! Bush=Obama.. *The never ending Story*

Let's try and remember all the crap Bush has done... he started destroying the Constitution and our Rights... how about Immigration? How about SS# How about 911, Iraq war, Afghan War, Oil, Wall Street, pardoning himself along with MOST OF HIS FRIENDS...Secretly wire taping whomever he chose to!!! omg I COULD SOOO GO ON!!!... but I can't, I don't want a headache..lol

Anyways.. I just had to shake your hand in a virtual, spiritual umm kinda way..lol and here's a big OLE HUG TOO!!! I love people that use their heads.. their soooo hard to find!!! =0)

is this a trick question

shouldn't it be who is worse???
they both suck,,,, and it's so obvious how we believe the left-right paradigm

bush was terrible,,,, and yet obama has continued most of his policies,,,,, refused to look into bush and even covered up his illegalities

it shows it's just big corrupt gov't
not much difference with whoever is prez or which party is in power

time to replace them all with 1st timers who are local,, except maybe for paul, kucinich, and sanders

although kucinich did sell out on healthcare,,, but he still calls out many evils of gov't
