Hint : It's already is and has been for years...even more so since Obama won the democrat nomination. They were as worse as Fox News during Bush. That's how bad they were.

CNN Co-Founder: CNN Is at Risk of Becoming a Bad Joke

Just how bad have things gotten at the low rated CNN? So bad that the CNN co-founder, Reese Schonfeld has written in his Huffington Post blog that it is at risk of becoming a bad joke:

I think CNN is at risk of becoming a bad joke. Late night comics and cartoonists are already using them as a gag line. Newspapers are asking "experts" how to save them. It's time for a major change, before moving from "joke" to "tired joke". Writing this is getting tired, too. It's making me feel cruel, and, even if April is the cruelest month, I'd rather be writing about something else.

Ouch! Schonfeld then relays the sad CNN ratings stats:

The April ratings are in and CNN is at its lowest point in my memory. All four of the major news networks lost numbers from last April to this April, but in percentages, CNN was down about twice as much as any of its competitors. In primetime, FoxNews lost 19 percent of its viewers, and CNN lost 38 percent. In the key 25-54 demographic, FoxNews was down 13 percent and CNN was down more than three times as many, 41%. In total day, FoxNews was down 17 percent and CNN was down 36 percent, and again in the 25-54 age group, FoxNews was down 16 percent and CNN was down 35 percent.

Somehow I don't think Schonfeld will be invited to any CNN parties anytime soon. Not even its wake.

Guess what you tard? STOP BEING GOVERNMENT SHILLS AND YOUR RATINGS WILL GO UP.

PEOPLE AREN'T BUYING YOUR CRAP NO MORE.

That's pretty much it.

I don't mean to be rude, but the only half-decent american news I have ever seen is PBS, and even then its not the best. Though I must say 90% of our news isn't much better.

Agreed.
Leave the political commentary to cartoonists, late night comedians and authors / book writers / editorials.
News reports are supposed to be just that, and the reporter should only say what's going on without opinion or interpretation.
If all news agencies would live up to the tagline of "We report, you decide" things would be much better.

I only use news sites that are funded by their readers donations.

If the government is funding them, if big business is funding them, then # THAT.

A News organization that pays its reporters with YOUR DONATIONS is a lot more likely to work and report in the best interests of the people donating.

I will never go back to for profit corporation news again even if they do 'get their act together' I can never trust them again.

If they get their act together, it will be a temporary thing to regain credibility and then start abusing us with disinformation and distraction yet again.

Remember the Hutaree news? Remember the DC shootings from a few days after the Hutaree arrests?

NO?

That's because the four people who died and 10+ people who were shot by an AK47 at a funeral in Washington DC was not as big of news as a right wing militia suspected of 'planning' a murder.

Nevermind that an actual mass murder took place a few days later, that's not as big of news as some people being ARRESTED.

"The April ratings are in and CNN is at its lowest point in my memory."

Yet, the number of visitor here at ATS for April is at record levels....
Coincidence...I think not.

The Daily Show is still a small bastion of light in the American news world - that I forgot to mention. And it is a joke, and still provides more actual news about what's going on in America than MSM (which includes Fox for any idiots out there).

I notice CNN is on the majority of publicly displayed televisions. Our library has it on, my bank has it on and I remember it at the airport too. Perhaps this is where they get their audience...forced viewers.

MSM is good for breaking stories that change by the minute. Like balloon boy. Or like reporting building 7 has fallen.

Every news netwrok is awful. Apparently it's of the utmost importance to be updated daily on the sex scandal of Tiger Woods and Sandra Bullock. It's not enough to report that a celebrity has cheated, but we need daily reports on leaked text messages.

What passes for news nowadays makes me physically sick. What's worse is that there are actually people who care about those stories. For the life of me I cannot understand needing to be in the know about someone elses personal life, or bedroom for that matter!

I wonder if they ever use those focus study groups (most are real people) to find out why people are, or are not watching. If they
had the courage to do so, they might be surprised and learn something. I am always available for 6 -8 hours or so at $250,000 if they want to call and set up an appointment; I bet that there
are plenty of others who will also sign up. - lol

Well I have to disagree with this gentleman's opinion of CNN.

What part do I disagree with?

The phrase "at risk of"

It already is.

Castro's favorite news channel.

He has it on 24/7.

Everyone came to realize that CNN and the other major news broadcasters are nothing but lies and propaganda. People are beginning to wake up.

Perhaps we'll tune back in once the truth is being reported. I doubt that will ever occur.
