WASHINGTON – A first-of-a-kind prostate cancer treatment that uses the body's immune system to fight the disease received federal approval Thursday, offering an important alternative to more taxing treatments like chemotherapy.

Company studies showed that taking Provenge added four months to the lives of men with advanced prostate cancer.

Dendreon said Thursday the drug will cost $93,000 per patient.

Although this isnt a complete cure, its still a step in the right direction. Hopefully there will be more medicines coming out soon that eventually completely cure cancer. Maybe this could be the thing that leads to major breakthroughs in treatment?

Isn't this amazing? We now have a "big business medical treatment, not cure, for about $90,000. And, it lasts about four months. WOW.

And just think the US government just sent the manufacturer of Rife tech equipment, Jim Folsom, to jail for four years, on trumped up charges , that could probably cure the cancer for $2000. worth of equipment, with no side effects.
