I stole a pokemon card from a kid when I was younger. He had punched me before, so I didn't feel bad about it.

Are you serious? I have to ask if you believe that everyone just does
this sort of stuff, kind of like a daily thing, something to do, etc.
I personally don't steal from anyone. Not even one little thing. First of
all, it is "illegal" or don't you grasp that concept? How do you feel being
ripped off? Is a good feeling to you? Do you bother feeling bad towards
the people you steal from? What a ridiculous thread !!

So you wouldn't steal in order to survive?

Is that what you mean also?

I mean, do you deem the law mightier than your very survival? A law is just what's on a peice of paper. Is that peice of paper of more worth that your life?

I believe a lot of posters up here honestly commit crimes either against man's law or nature's law everyday or at the very least live with some strange urge to do so. As evidence I cite the countless anti-liberty pro-authoritarian posters who seem to believe that should murder be made legal or police suddenly disappear we would all be out raping and killing 'just because we can"

Whenever I read a post like that I have to wonder if I am strange for not living with a constant urge to kill or otherwise violate the life, liberty and property of another human being.

This idea that the imaginary line of "law" is all that keeps us civil baffles me. In my life the imaginary line of "law" has merely been an afterthought. A way to punish a criminal after the fact. Never once have I ever assumed it to be a deterrent. Yet for many it is apparently the only thing keeping them from eating your skin. Go figure. Sane enough to understand punishment as a deterrent but not so sane as to live without the urge to violate your life, liberty or property.

Anyway, I stole once. A Matchbox car when I was 7 or 8 from a relative. I was up all night vomiting with stress and guilt. First thing in the morning I returned it and apologized. Havent stolen anything since.
