This just came in an email from prep2003...

Note - The 'Monitors' announcement that they hoaxed the Aussie Bloke
reads like a copycat claim after a terror event. The following
statement by a fellow who says he hoaxed the entire 'Monitors' piece
comes as no real surprise. The melodrama continues... -ed

Mr Rense........

I'm not sure if you have receved this yet but thought it needed
clarification. the "monitors" who claimed they were the ones who
hoaxed the aussie bloke information, are now renegging on that and
say they "did not" do that.. so here is the information they
published to renegg it

The Monitors Revealed

6/3/2004

10:08 am EDTRe: GLP was an "Aussie Bloke" experiment! so says the
Monitors

I have no doubt that this message will be cross-posted, copied,
pasted, and spread just as far and wide as my original "Monitors"
message.

In less than 24 hours, you have all embraced an entirely fake post
that offered NO corroborative evidence and NO verifiable proof of
anything.

Like many of you, I was on the fence regarding Aussie Bloke, N&W,
and even Lyros to some extent. Part of me remains convinced that an
intelligent person, or group, can easily construct a plausible
scenario that many people will believe in, simply because it SOUNDS
good.

I could have left "The Monitors" (which, by the way, was taken from
an old Space: Above and Beyond episode, for those of you who
remember that awesome TV show), but I'm really not interested in
sending people into mental institutions or home foreclosure, because
they lost their minds over something they read on the internet.

This should clearly illustrate to you all that you NEED to improve
your BS filters when you read something on the net. There are
organized groups operating even now that will generate a hoax just
for the bragging rights of doing it. If AB/N&W is a hoax, they are
right now patting themselves on the backs and congratulating each
other.

Honestly, I don't know if it's real, if any of it's real, but I had
to throw "The Monitors" into the mix to prove a point that MANY
other posters have been shouting at you ever since this began.

It took me all of 15 minutes to write the "Monitors" message. If
someone REALLY wanted to do their homework, ask some questions, and
take some notes, they could create a story that most of us would be
hard-pressed to refute.

Sure, I upset a lot of people, but you guys needed a wake up call.
STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET. Yes, mainstream
media often misses or intentionally buries news items, and sites
like GLP can be valuable resources in finding news that falls
through the holes, but stories like ABs go beyond all that, and
delve deeply into the realm of complete and utter internet hoax.

Just look at what the reactions to my message were. Some people
refused to believe that AB could be anything but the gospel. Some
people realized it was a hastily prepared scam. Some people saw it
as a logical explanation that reinforced something theyd been
thinking all along. In short, your reactions to my post were very
much in line with your reactions to AB and the like.

I know youll all require proof that "The Monitors" message is a
fake, and that Im the one who did it. So, here goes.

BLIND SKIES is the proof - totally made it up on the spot, because
it sounded good. AB kept saying look to the skies, but so many
people werent seeing anything, so it sounded good. I googled it
myself, and was surprised that the first hit actually had to do with
asteroids. I laughed a little, but then included that part about
COINCIDENCE as a result of my google experience. I picked it out of
the blue, people, and it "hit" when searched on!

When I 'quoted' AB and said LOOK TO THE SKIES and INVESTIGATE FOR
YOURSELF, I fully expected you to do web searches on BLIND SKIES,
and quickly learn that it probably doesnt exist, never has, never
will. I was a little surprised that the anagram hunters didn't make
an appearance (maybe they did and I missed it). Before I posted, I
checked to make sure thered be no "hits" on anagrams, and the
closest I saw that you MIGHT latch onto was DISIN BS ELK.

I insinuated government "affiliation" ("The Monitors" never stated
they WERE the government, yet many inferred that), because I knew
that would add even more credibility. Many of you are convinced that
TPTB are untrustworthy (and perhaps they are), so by adding that
element, I insured that those disaffected people would likely get on
board with my message.

Honestly and seriously, I dont know if AB is telling the truth.
Part of me wants to believe, and part of me just cant accept it. I
think the preponderance of evidence is against "him", thanks largely
to the efforts of other posters on GLP who did the homework and dug
for the truth.

Why are all the navies leaving port? I dont know, but just because
none of us know, it doesnt mean AB is right. Whether you choose to
believe it or not, coincidences DO happen.

In closing, I think you should read these articles on paranoia and
conspiracy theory. Ive seen them linked in a few other places, so
now they're on GLP, where maybe they can do the most good.

villagevoice.com/issues/0421/indiana.php
villagevoice.com/issues/0422/indiana.php

quoted from part 2 -

In an introductory essay, Peter Knight, editor of the 2002
collection Conspiracy Nation: The Politics of Paranoia in Postwar
America, attributes modern conspiracism to "the pervading sense of
uncontrollable forces taking over our lives, our minds, and even our
bodies." He writes that "conspiracy thinking has become not so much
the sign of a crackpot delusion as part of an everyday struggle to
make sense of a rapidly changing world." In effect, individuals are
losing their sense of agency in a period of political chaos and
technological overload, compulsive consumerism and fear of the
future, experiencing a loss of self and a sense of
interchangeability with other digitized and horrifically surveilled
humans, unable to get the big picture into focus and hence fixating
on an idea of the world itself as a vast, impenetrable conspiracy.
The worst thing about the above catalog of alienation effects is
that it seems irreversible and inescapable.

---------------------

So there you have it. Spread the word. "The Monitors" are fake. If
the moderators of this forum ever bothered to look at the IP logs,
theyd see that this post originates from the same place. And yes, I
really AM a registered member who posts occasionally under a
different name. And to those of you claiming that a law has been
broken here, and those who would petition congress to do something
about hoaxes, I think you should consult with a real lawyer and find
out a few facts before you make yourselves look even more foolish.
My contribution to the AB saga has been negligible, so Im not
really concerned about the thought police breaking down my door in
the middle of the night to prosecute me for violating the PA. Duping
the gullible may be immoral or unethical, but it is hardly illegal,
unless done for monetary benefit. With regards, The Monitors

Comment
From David Wallace
6-5-4

Please thank the monitors - or whatever - for the newsflash that
people believe things with little scientific support. I will now
read my newspaper more carefully and not accept everything I read. I
will only now question whether forty million dead preterm babies in
America were simply inhuman protoplasm. I will approach fosslized
pigs teeth with the greatest of skepticism about whether they really
represent the missing link in human evolution.

Oh wait, we already knew about these hoaxes. Maybe we have learned
that people are also pompous and mean spririted? No, we knew that
also.

Yeah, I found the article interesting, even exciting. I looked
carefully for news on the matter. But, I went to work every single
day, like everybody else who "believed it." So, what's
this "wholesale" belief BS M/M. Monitor congratulates itself with?
Nobody I know of moved into a cave.

I did and do appreciate the sunset a little more deeply, since it
may not last. I tried to spend a little more time with my family. I
prayed a little more. So, thank you, Monitors. But get over
yourself. I have heard from a much better source that the Lord
Himself will return in very difficult times. He blesses that belief,
whatever ill is meant by those who try to mock it. But I appreciate
the reminder. However, if you believe that only others believe
foolish things on critical matters, then you need the reminding.

"hallindsey.com/bible.asp?Action=Browse&Bid=46&Cid=1
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness
of God is stronger than men. "

So this David Wallace now says that he hoaxed the 'Monitors' message.

The Monitors message was that they created 'Aussie Bloke' as a social experiment.

'Aussie Bloke' meanwhile has stated that he is 'Grant Gartrel'. The actual Grant Gartrell has explained that he is not 'Aussie Bloke' and was a victim of the AB hoax himself.

So how many hoaxes do we have now ? All of the buggers could be hoaxers, although I tend to believe that Grant Gartrell is genuinely pissed off at having his name linked to this thing.

With all the #e flying around, theres only one way to verify all of this ... Wait until June 18.

So what signs should we see should it be real, the Transitionof Venus is'nt gonna cause a majour darkening of the sky's, but if we start seeing a BIG increase of meteors in the next week after the 8th..we should be worried eh? If not then we can assume AB was an annoying nerd...

Even with an increase in meteors that does not mean that the asteroids are coming, there are several meteor showers that are normal for June

June 3 Tau Herculids: Radiant--near Corona Borealis. About a month long, 15 per hour max, most quite faint.

June 5 Scorpiids: Radiant--near Ophiuchus. 20 per hour with some fireballs.

June 7 Arietids: About 30 per hour. Slow moving with some fireballs.

June 13 Ophiuchids: Radiant-- near Scorpius. Only 3 per hour but fast moving bolides are common. Duration--25 days

June 16 June Lyrids: Radiant--near Vega. Another part of May Lyrid meteor stream. 15 per hour, faint blue meteors.

June 20 Ophiuchids: Radiant-- near Sagitarrius. Rate varies from 8 to 20, with occaisionally many more.

June 30 June Draconids: Radiant--near handle of Big Dipper. Rate varies from 10 to 100 per hour. Pons-Winnecke Comet is parent.

Thanks for the info! Im usually never up so late to see any meteors and living in a City does'nt help, but I was thinking if they get more news than normal, like the one that flew over here (Seattle) the other day, ones that make it thru (of any size) then that would mean somethings definatly "up"?
Im prob 90% convinced AB is a fake now, from 40% when I first read it, but
I either wish it was true and lets get it over with or I wish people would just shut up, we got enough crap to deal with in life as it is without these neo nerds getting off on stuff like this, I wish they'd act more like men..

thanks for the info!

I hate to flog a dead horse, BUT has anybody really looked at the neo.jpl.nasa.gov... site.

On June 24 Object 2000 AG6 will be 0.1166AU away from earth on June 26 it will still be at 0115AU miss distance.

On June 26 Object 2002 AA29 will be 0.1219 away from earth. Placing it in close proximity to AG6? What is the potential of interaction between the two objects?

On June 26 Itokawa (also known as 1998 SF36) will be 0.0132AU from earth. Three NEA objects in close proximity of earth at the same time?

2000 AG6 is 23 to 51 m in size
2002 AA29 is 41 to 91 m in size
Itokawa is 450m to 1 km in size.

Now the problem with all of this is that (1) the orbits of NEO are approximations and (2) the site does not supply you with a orbit simulation of where the three objects will be vis a vis on June 26, 2004.

What does any of this have to do with AB? Nothing probably other than placing three definite NEOs in the sky at approximately the same time as his "hoax" stated.

Wasn't there something in the news about an astronomer that was brutally murdered?? Is there anyway that this person could have been Aussie Bloke, then the Gov. acted like him on there?
