I'm heading out with some coworkers this weekend to be there to help out with the clean up projects. I will post some pictures of the project and process while we are there.

Peace.

This is awful.
Horrible pictures to see indeed.

It is being covered quite heavily on BBC world service radio, and has been their top story for a couple of days. The have experts on saying things like:

"the seriousness of this event is hard to put into words,"

"This could dwarf the Exxon valdez spill in alaska"

"Slick is now the size of JAMAICA,and is hitting the shores now"

"I'm hearing the oil could flow for 3 months"

Thats 200 000 gallons a day-FOR 3 MONTHS.
I thought it sounded apocalyptic for the marine environment, and thus the sea food industry of the coast.
The Government over there do seem to be taking their sweet time over this-reminds me of Bushco during Katrina.
They should have thrown all resources at this from day 1 IMO,feds, military the whole lot.No question.

Me being conspiracy minded, and this being ATS I would have to say there could be a reason for the lack of both action by the government, and lack of US media coverage.

Could they be as sick as to let this turn into a bigger catastrophe than it needs to,not only to inflate fuel prices, but also to use as a form of catalyst to usher in a whole new set of "green" laws?

We know the whole green agenda is being exploited by other "nwo" type groups such as the trilateral commision/bilderbergers/UN etc.

Maybe this could be the environmental "pearl harbor" that they have been waiting for?

You get a star from me! I could have sworn I heard a few days maybe a week ago that some high up gov. official said we( the US, not just Louisiana) needed a "Pearl Harbor" type of environmental disaster. I can't give any sources as I'm going strictly from memory, which doesn't say much

I also had no clue that this thing could be leaking for 3 months! My God the whole Gulf and the La/Ms. coasts would be black if that happens.
