Cute little spiders..... so long as they stay outside

Thank you for the reminder that each little creature is a miracle in its own right.

It felt like those spiders were staring right at me!

I'm still shuddering.

Beautiful pics, just the spiders were creeping me out big time. Still cool though.

I absolutely love spiders and mantids!! I am actually (slowly but surely) going to school (part time) to become and entomologist. That is my eventual goal for myself.

SO... anyone want me to identify all these wonderful species?

(I will identify that mantis right now actually. It's an Idolomantis diabolica.)

Oh btw. One of the spiders you posted is a Phidippus Apacheanus or (Apache Jumping Spider)

Here is a video for that one.

This spider is actually my personal favorite. The Indian Ornamental (Poecilotheria Regalis)

P.S. Don't kill jumping spiders. They are really docile and won't hurt you. Deny the Ignorance that is squishing bugs! (Except Silverfish and Roaches. Squish them!)

Nature is amazing. We as human beings live on such a unique, beautiful and awe inspiring place. It can be filled with so much danger and hostility and unknown yet is so beautiful and soft, and endearing. Our creator has put something on this earth for every human ailment that's for sure. I just wish we could quit destroying our beautiful home.

I think it is less the question of "could" as it is "would"

Amazing! But remember that spiders are not bugs, they are an exception

Kill nothing if possible! They all have lives to lead and enjoy.

Those pictures were great. It was good to see jumping spiders too, the cadillac of spiders.

Most people combine insects and arachnids into the "Bug" nomenclature.

Not all insects are bugs.

But they are all our friends!

I agree for the most part.

I can't honestly say mosquitoes are my friend.

They anger me!

Insects are, by far, my favorite animals on earth.

These pictures were gorgeous and I thank you for brightening my day by posting them here.

Star and flag for the pretty bugs.

I love the inherent beauty found everywhere in nature. I often find myself surprised at the diversity of bugs when I get a closer look at them.. They are so intricate and tiny! Great thread

Awesome - What camera are you using?

Can you imagine how life could evolve on another planet and if it could match the variety and complexity of this planet? What would aliens look like if we could see them. Similar to humans or more like insects? We may never find out, but our children might if we don't exterminate ourselves first.
