Racism, Racism, Racism...Really?

What really drives racism in this country? Blacks hating whites? Latinenos hating whites? Whites hating everyone? No! I think if each of us looks at our daily lives and the interactions we have with others we will see that this is not the case.
Sure there are a good number of bigots out there from each race. But what makes them dislike or hate another race?
I will try to bring all of these ideas together in this one post. Comment on it if you would like. Negative or positive whatever your feelings are on the subject. The fact that we can agree or disagree and still talk about things with out censorship is one of the best things about this country.
If we look closely at the race card we will find that very few in the middle and lower classes play it. Its usually someone in a political setting. Once it is played however people seem to rally behind it.
We have several areas around my home town that are really run down. I guess you could call them ghettos. Government housing where people are of low or no income. Why are there so many places like this and why are they mostly filled with minorities? If you ask some they will say that the system failed them and in part they are correct. Others will say that racism has played a large role in their situation and they are also partly right. Then some will say that they choose to live this way. Why work at MicE Ds when more can be made by not working anywhere?
If we as a nation will stop blaming each other, look around and pay attention it really is not hard to find the source. Who gains the most by keeping a select people below poverty level? Who has the main part of the power to keep them there? The fact of the matter is that if you enable someone long enough you make them dependent on you. By ‘dependent’ I mean that they look to you to fill their every need.
The only people that should have Government help of any kind are the Disabled and Senior citizens in this country. If you are healthy and able to work then you should be doing so.
How many times have we heard that illegal immigrants are allowed in this country to fill the jobs that many Americans feel are beneath them? If it comes to the well being of my family there is no job beneath me.
Illegal’s are allowed in to add to the minorities vote over time. While many of them or their children will become contributors, some will find that if they choose they will not have to contribute. There are many people in this Great Nation that are able to work but simply do not have to. They are actually paid not to work while many are penalized (taxes) for doing so. They are made to feel like they are incapable of getting out of their current situation so why try?.
Is all of this because the color of their skin? No. Very little has to do with skin color.If you want or need to find racism in this country you don’t need to look any farther than our Government. They make the policies and laws that help keep a lot of people below poverty level. But why would they want this?
Well its simple. By holding people back they ensure the vote of these people to whom ever promises the most help for them. Of course they don’t tell them or explain to them that this help will ensure that they and those they love will be no better off because of it.
It might be another government plan to make it easier for minorities to get housing or government assistance that is promised. These programs actually hurt minorities. These are the programs that “Hold” minorities back. These programs don’t do anything to promote self worth or to bring up ones self esteem. They give a since of failure, that if they try to get out of their situation they will just be pushed back down.
So why go after the minorities in this way? Well because they are a minority. You surly would not want a majority of people on these programs. You would want them out there working and paying taxes.
For those few that break free from under the Governments thumb it is really no big deal because now they have entered the majority and can help fund all of these programs that hold their family and friend back.
Affirmative Action is one of these programs that help ensure that the majority will stay the majority and the minority will stay the minority. It makes it harder for whites to take advantage of these government programs. Even when the help is really needed. This also falls into the plans wanted by some in government because it fuels the racism that some hold towards minorities.
I have told this story before but I will go over it once more to try and help prove my point. Several years ago I had an accident and was out of work for about 3 months. My wife was a stay at home mom of three at the time and without me working things looked grim. I swallowed my pride and said that we should try to get government assistance until I could get back to work. She agreed, so off to the local DSS office we went. My wife had to sit there for 2.5 hours filling out a few papers and answering all kinds of questions that were aimed at deterring her from getting help. Minorities on the other hand who were seeking the same help were in and out the door in 30 min. They also called me, almost daily, to see if I was back to work and if not when I was going back.
A lot of people who can not see the big picture take this out on the minorities who receive government assistance when actually it is the government who is at fault. To be fair though these programs do help a very few but it holds many, many more back. I praise the few that break the bonds holding them back like our Pres. Obama, but I think this was due more to their families encouraging them, and their own self worth, more than the programs. That’s just my opinion though.
Why would people think that ‘Whites” are holding minorities back? It does not profit anyone and makes no since. If minorities were not held back that would mean less taxes and more money in everyone’s pocket.
The Civil War and Slavery are also more fuel to the fire. In reality a lot of facts about those times have been distorted. Slavery was wrong but what most people don’t know is that it was not strictly Whites against Blacks, though that is what it has been made into. americancivilwar.com...
This is just one of many articles on the subject, though it is strictly about S.C., it still has a lot of information you will not find in your childs History books or anywhere in the main stream.
Racism does have its effects in this country but most are intended effects. Far left liberals have their own stake in the minorities being held down.
As I said before, as long as minorities are held down, those they look up to for help have power. They will help just enough to make them think they are with them in their fight but what they won’t tell them is that they are fighting a ghost. A ghost set up to leave some minority folks below poverty level which insure tax dollars coming to the Fed. Government. Little of which makes it to those who NEED it. It keeps those down, believing they can’t do any better. It insures most minority groups will vote for those who they think will help them the most. But these people are not helping. They are truly hurting all of us.
As long as these people are being elected and given positions of power we stand a greater chance of these few changing this Great Nation for all.
If we look into what these few believe then we will see that their view of the future America is something many of us do not recognize. It scares me what lengths I have read that they are willing to go to in order to achieve their vision.
Inflation of the dollar to the point that it is worthless. Then when we are in a ‘Greater’ depression they step in and rebuild this Great Country into a Socialist government run country.
If you know any far left liberals ask them to describe what they think the perfect country would be like. I am sure, if you are a conservative, you will agree with little they have to say. But the fact is that these people really do believe what they think. They believe in their vision as much as we believe in the Constitution, lower taxes, lower Federal spending and working hard for what you have and protecting it.
I am not a person who gives credit to all of the “conspiracy theories” floating around but I can look at what has been happening for the last three decades and at what seems to be coming to a head now.
Federal spending is out of control. We borrow money that we can not pay back and we print money that we do not have the recourses to back. It is just a matter of time before the dollar is worth little to nothing.
Some might tell you that we are coming out of the recession but if you know anything about economics you know this is not true. Or maybe it is……….. Are we are coming out of the recession and diving head first into a depression?
I have covered a lot and I am sure that many will not agree with my thoughts. All I ask is that you do your own research. I could of filled this post with links but where would that have led? We as Americans have the duty to research what is going on in this country. We don’t need to watch or read one source of news for all of the answers.
I PRAY that I am wrong. I still have hope though, I watch and do see changes. I just worry that these few changes are meant to pacify. THANK YOU.

yes racism is pretty much the dumbest thing ever, mainly because the whites enslaved africans, then saw themselves as a superior race, and beame ethnocentric. yes i do realize that not all whites are totally racist. many aren't.

blacks in turn hate whites because they enslaved their ancestors, as is the same as american indians stance. but, the indians also have the fact that they poisoned them with disease, drugs, pretty much introduced diabetes, and created the longest genocide in history. but again, not many people are really racist.

religion also played a role (think KKK), but that added homophobia.

I actually wrote this in Sept. of last year and had it posted on another site. I did not know about ATS then. Now that I am a member I wanted to share it with you and get some feed back.

first let me put my own view on race forward. every race has its own personality tendances i know this is not a popular view but it true, its easy to see to anyone who can observe objectively. I'm not saying every one in a race will act the same or one race is the best at anything only thay have a tendancey.this is from thousands of years of evolution to a specific environment.

i don`t buy in to the gov holding minorities back by giving them a free ride this helps them as it would anyone. why is it all the hot dry countrys people that live in ghettos. because if you waste energy in a hot dry climate your going to die so its a subconscious action to take it easy when ever you can. you don`t see many east Asians in ghettos or raising familys whilst claiming welfare for years

yet these tendances are not a rule or can not be overcome but thay do exist and until we can address this without losing tempers or being told your not allowed to think like that it will always be a problem same with sexism.

bottom line each race has strengths and weakness we should learn to appreciate that and not pretend its not true.

What we see here is classism. The poor whites, and the poor blacks, they work together, live together and die together. No problems.

The rich whites and the rich blacks, they play togather.

The poor whites, and the rich whites, don't play together.

The poor blacks, and the rich blacks, don't play together either.

absolutely agree money plays a much bigger role than race in dividing people and from what i`ve seen on t.v. racism is a much more open subject in s.a. than almost anywhere.

The government does hold them back. They make it much easier for them to get government assistance. This in turn makes them more dependent on the government. If they really wanted to help minorities they would create programs to help them get out of poverty not help them stay in it.

This shows another problem with our government and how our history books try to keep us in this hate cycle. Please don't take this as an attack on you , I promise it is not. 98% of Americans believe the same thing. It is true that there were a lot of white slave owners, also there were a lot of African American slave owners (Freed slaves commonly owned slaves, this is usually left out of textbooks, but if you look in actual history books and throughout the art of the time you will see it.) but the white people didn't enslave them. They weren't having "Hunting" trips to find new slaves. The slaves were enslaved by their own races for the most part and then sold to the white settlers. They were slaves in Africa anyway, that is conviently left out. Is it right for anyone to own slaves? Of course not! But the problem is that by saying that the whites were enslaving the Africans it creates a build up in hate and only continues to fuel the fire.

There were white slaves too and there have been throughout history. If I remember right they were slaves from British prisons much as in Australia. There were Irish too but I believe they were a servitude condition. Ie. once they paid their way over here, plus interest I am sure, they were freed. It is true that some never managed to work until they were free. I could be mistaken about the origins in this one since it has been quite a while since my history class that discussed this. But they were slaves before Africans were brought over.

Slavery was never only a problem of America, Link it was a problem for the entire world. The reason it is studied and taught the way it is, is because it creates a divide. It creates hate. That is why there are constantly new laws pointing out that everyone is a different race. Don't believe me look through history. Everytime race begins to not be an issue there is some kind of law or news story to push it back to the forefront. Think of Affirmative action, hate crimes, etc. They will institute them or rebute them any time racial harmony begins to take over the U.S.

So the question is why would they do that? Why would they teach it this way? Its simple, keep people seperated and they will fight against each other and not see what is really going on. Same reason there are Democrats and REpublicans. To keep against each other. It doesn't matter, if we have a Republican or a Democrat in office, nothing changes... Don't believe me, take abortion for example. The Republicans keep saying they are going to limit it, but even when the house senate and presidency is in the hands of the Republicans everything stays the same. Democrats say they will loosen the grip on the law when it comes to abortion but when they control all three, still nothing changes. This is a ploy. If people realized they could rule themselves then government would be in trouble. If they really wanted the people in control as the Constitution says then there would be massive votes on major issues. It would not be that difficult to let everyone in AMerica vote on abortion or immigration, etc. They could let the people govern themselves that way but they won't. It is much easier to rule people who are constantly against each other rather than rule a conjoined group.

Whites are now the picked on under class.

In the US the so called minorities have more babies than whites.

Whites are about to be the minority.

I will only keep my comments about the good ol' UAS.

There is a multi-billion industry built on racism within the USA. Far more involved than Jesse and Al, the shakedown brothers. There are any number of organizations with the name Black, Negro, Hispanic, Latino involved that are race based organizations. This alone keeps racism alive.

Some of these groups are governmental in nature, some are business in nature, some are charity, college foundations, fraternities/sororities, and the list goes on.

Some of these groups sole purpose is to threaten boycotts or legal action against perceived discrimination or action by people or organizations. Get out the checkbook to right all wrongs.

It's really about money. Money keeps racism alive in the good ol' USA. It just don't pay to treat everyone the same.
