This is not about secession, at all. In fact, it is an attempt to avoid such. States actually using the power given them in the constitution within the union. This is the only way we will be able to control the federal government - by asserting States' rights within the legal system. Secession is economically disastrous (interstate commerce) unless many states join together to do this. The only time secession is a viable option is if the federal government is successful in forcibly (by physical force) stopping states from enforcing legal laws - like this one.

Yes,exactly! And this is where the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division comes in. We have already been warned! Here is the quote from the Army Times: They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control…..

Is This Not a violation of the constitution and the comitus act!
Bush started this illegal act with Katrina, and now that we are on the slippery sole, who knows what is next to follow.

Hey OP, I am sure you will get a few people stating that the government will have to kill everyone to save everyone in no time flat.

Hope you have fun with the OP.

I hope you do not mind, I am going to include my OP on secession to this discussion.

Secession, our last viable solution to the Fascist/Socialist State?

I would come and join the instant the first state is serious about this.

I am sure you would have another million people do the same.

There is a LOT of people sick of the federal government. Period.
