'When we understand that slide, we'll have won the war:' US generals given baffling PowerPoint presentation to try to explain Afghanistan mess

www.dailymail. co.uk

PowerPoint has become public enemy number one for many US officers who find themselves battling slide presentations rather than insurgents.
Some have gone as far as to declare all-out war on the software after the military command was over-run with mind-numbing 30-slide presentations.
General James N. Mattis, the Joint Forces Commander, isn't taking any prisoners in his approach.
'PowerPoint makes us stupid,' he growled at a military conference in North Carolina.

Sorry about the double post. I forgot to put the link in and could not figure out how to put it back in on the edit function

They destroyed all those tanks.
Wow.
And they need us to keep them safe.
Or we need them to keep us safe.
Oh I get it now.
ED: That does look like how the corporate organization might
fight the war.
Got to see the one for the suppression of science.

i can promise that Powerpoint is the bane of all middle managers in the US business sector.

Hours spent creating a show that is used only 1 time.

Powerpoint should be about training, not speaking. It represents a prop for the weak talker.

IMO, Powerpoint is good for portfolios and research presentations. My son and his classmates used powerpoint in their research presentations and they were very well done and executed.

I'd read the article about the military use of it and a General said the presentation looked like spaghetti or something to that extent and a subordinate just sat around all day working on powerpoint presentations.

Welcome to the new military.
