Netanyahu is incapable of making peace - but does Israel care?

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister, is incapable of any serious diplomatic action. Ordinary Israelis aren't worried enough about security to take much of an interest in politics, mistrust Arabs in general and have no particularly desire for a breakthrough. The chance of peace, either with the Syrians or the Palestinians, is near zero. The Obama administration would be well advised to stake neither its efforts nor its reputation on Middle East peace.

Now that Debka says a war will break out this summer, I'm pretty sure one won't start.

Debka is like the anti-doom of the internet. They predict something, the contrary will happen.

Anyway an important step will be achived in September. The Iron Dome will be installed in Northern Israel, ready to stop Syrian/Hezbullah missiles...

So either Israel will calm itself, now protected or go for war since they don't have to worry about the retaliation on their population centers..... we'll see.

Are they like the sane people during the Reagan administration...who thought that the missile shield against Russia wasn't full proof... or are they crazy like Cheney and Richard Perle who wanted to do a first strike on Russia and let the missile shield stop the counter attack? I think we'll see soon enough.

The other factor that may affect things is, as Gerald Celente predicts, that the economy will get worse and that the elite will need a distraction, a great war...
