In all due respect, the title of this thread is misleading and shameful. the bill supposedly says unauthorized "militia"... militia stems from military. military means of or pertaining to armed forces. your right to peaceably assemble can never be taken from you.

it would be beneficial to everyone to stop putting your creative thought into such scary ideas. whatever is going on behind the scenes to crack down on the people, it won't succeed. just stay positive and peaceful people. that's the only way to set yourself free anyway.

TITLE 10 > Subtitle A > PART I > CHAPTER 13 > § 311 § 311. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The official classes of the militia are—

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

I haven't really read through it as thoroughly as I should, but the term "unauthorized militia" seems to be inherently contradictory.

And I HAD to comment on it.

In my humble opinion, it is kind of like "Peacekeeper Missile", "Military Intelligence" (that was a joke any military men out there), "Pre-order", "Pre-recorded", etc...

This is about as Orwellian doublethink as it can get.

I didn't think when I posted my previous comment that anyone would actually believe that a militia had to be authorized, but that is what I get for not reading the entire thread before I post.

There's been a systematic breaking down of EVERYTHING involving people. Pre-1985, I seen people I knew still holding to values, neighbors spoke. Parents raised kids, a week of school was rewarded with Saturday morning cartoons, and the cartoons were teen soaps. If you did something bad and a neighbor seen it, they'd spank you, then your parents, when the neighbor told them what you did because "it takes a village to raise a child", still rang true. In my area, I remember when coc aine-crack/AIDS took hold, nice middle class mixed neighborhood, my dads a cop, and mom, university. Area went from neighbors spoke, to doors locked and 'don't speak to anyone except who I tell you too'(my parents) all while corporations increased the bloodletting of the middle class.

The free love/civil rights/black power movements of the 60's had created very strong people, and that wasn't needed. Introduce coc aine-crack, to decimate the black community, coc aine to slow hippies kids, STD's to kill free love, and from the chaos of drugs, and its effects, I BELIEVE, set back an entire generation. My neighbors were a prime example. Mixed couple(black husband, white wife)he, fought in vietnam, came back disgruntled, shellshocked alcoholic, her? To deal with the stress, tried drugs to cope. The effect? A daughter with no guidance from the folks. So my parents stood in as best they could, but the daughter got pregnant @12. Her parents were too out of it to care what she did when at home.

Are you saying the government is not evil? Most of the time it is..or a very reasonable facsimile of that item or word.

And as for saving people... most of us out here in the more rational elements of the militias in the US ...have little intention of saving some peoples butts...
Most of the people who do nothing but stand around with their hands on their crotch and the other one out asking for cradle to grave protection and the need to be baby sat... are not much of interest to any of us...
