Strange post, but I'm drunk and feel like rambling...

Quantum mechanics, string theory, electromagnetics, gravity...a cat on the floor
wanting attention...this is reality.

If we want to move thru space at enormous speeds the gravitational force is
the answer. Combustion mechanics, pushing from the rear is akin to
projectile weapons.--out-dated and unworkable. Pulling and pushing thru space
is our true first objective.

To reach out to the star systems ahead and push from those behind is our first
hurdle. (hurtle) hehe...

What the hell am I talking about?...Moving thru space to other solar systems.
Once we learn gravity, once physics have caught up to a clear understanding
of gravitational forces will we be able to move thru space ~at the pace~ required to
explore other solar systems, but this is the first hurdle.

Gravitational forces are the least understood forces. Tesla had a deeper
understanding of electromagnetism, but we have yet to break the ice
on the gravitational force.

If aliens do visit us, then gravitational force is their means of propulsion.
We have millenia before we understand and utilize theses forces and yet I doubt this is the GREATEST force. Possibly a conjunction of electromagnetic and gravitational forces will open up the universe to us...many, many, genius mathematicians from now.

For now (for the next several centuries) we are doomed to plasma ion generators
pushing from the rear (which offer no feasible means of stopping or correcting
the forces of inertia on the inhabitants in the vehicle we send) and we're
stuck in our own solar system as a consequence. If you are reading and understand
this, think more deeply than would be prudent..gravity is the answer. Get out fo the
box.

On a side note, listening to Hawkings synthesized voice is mesmerizing.

Wow, two Z's in one sentence.

Four lazy men have quit picking waxed banjos...

sorry, but I like puzzles...what is cool about my last sentence?

This is like the time we convinced a drunk member from ATS chat to create a thread. It ended up being about placenta's.

To sum it all up.

Don't drink and post.

You have all blue on your contribution level, you have to be a mod, please have mercy and delete this

I hope it wasn't that placenta as food thread, that was rather disgusting.

And to the OP, blue means a lot of good topics by the poster.

I seen worse drunk ramblings that made less sense and I have seen sober posts that made completely no sense.

Interesting is that in one of my favorite books ever Hyperion, they have a propulsion system called the Hawking drive, named after Stephen.

Okay one of you like cats, and the other appreciates Latin

Meus botulus abunde

and I have three cats...used to have four but
I got hungry...just kidding...DELETE THIS PLZ

True. But Its only a matter of TIME. Master the time element that is in quantum entanglement with gravity and you will begin to see the horizon.

When I think about gravity drives, I always imagine the (synthesised?)mass would have some kind of effect on any planets, moons, etc in the locality of the ship using it????
I just imagine it knocking stuff out of orbit.

Anyone got any enlightening theories on this?

No it wont knock anything out of orbit. The synthesis of Anti gravity, my physics are nearly complete, I have termed it Savvy's effect, for my invention anyway. Factoring in the time element is a real challenge, but I will get there. The spaceship will be its own entity, not actually belonging to our cosmos.
