Ahhhhhh, you do realize that there was no shortage of copper in the ancient world?



Kupros (what we called Cyrpus) was probably named this for the deposits of copper on that island

A round trip to 'Michigan' would have taken a very long time to do - if you were lucky - your not Phillip Coppens are you? lol
