Does anyone see the irony of a Rothschild being involved with the cleanup?

Yep, there you got it, the cost of dealing with the clean up of plastics should be included in the price of gasoline, as well as the multiple wars in the Middle East. Then alternative fuel sources and electric cars would be a whole lot more competitive in the market, and we might actually see some real laws of the market put into effect, but as long as the rules are written to favor big oil, it is never going to happen.

In a world that wasn't built on disposables, we wouldn't all be caught up in a rat race.

Actually, there is a crop that could fill the void, hemp. There would be no more need to cut down trees for paper. Better quality cloth and canvas ( from cannabis ) could be used in a great deal of products. There is also good ole brick and mortar.

With better quality materials, Things people buy would last much longer.
