Hello there, I'm new

My name is Chris, I stumbled on this website and thought I should join this massive conglomerate of paranoid folk.

Unrelated note - I hate people who use "would of" instead of "would have" or "would've"

Welcome to this neat place.

Though my knowledge and comprehension of English is sometimes limited because it is not my native language, I wouldn't even know how to make a proper sentence with "would of".

Oops I did it anyway.

Let me tell you Mythic Chris, I hate people who hate people for using would of. I would of went right by this thread if I hadn't felt drawn to it for some unknown reason. Now I know why I was drawn to it. My blind rage and hatred for anyone who hates people who use would of.

Just kidding. I could care less about all of that and I'm glad you decided to join. I will be forever thinking about that when I see people use would of now. Great to have you as a member.

Welcome to the boards, and enjoy yourself here before you become and English teacher. We have a broad base of members that don't have a full command of the English language. Some members don't even have a spell checker installed.:shk:

Yes, they, they're, their, the misuse bugs me, but I get over it.
The intent behind what a member has to say is more important to me than the correct spelling and syntax.

Hi Chris, welcome to the site. At first you might think a number of the topics presented here are very strange. Then you may feel the "train of thought" of the person who wrote that post, is stranger.

But it won't take long, and you will loose any apprehension. Thats when you should feel parinoid. But of course by then it's to late.
