just wondering, i had this conversation with a pro-life friend.
i'm pro-choice myself, cause if you make something illegal by law, shouldn't there be a penalty?
so, if abortions are made illegal, and a pregnant woman still gets one, what shall the penalty be?
prison time, house arrest?
shall we restrain a pregnant woman who wants one in order to stop her?
if abortion is murder, would the death penalty be relevant concerning the mother or doctor?

during a search on this topic i didn't find anything leaning this way, link it if it's been covered previously.

As before Roe v. Wade, the penalty will be coat-hangers, unwanted children, and a swelling of those needing straight-up welfare. But don't worry, one of every ten thousand might become a tim tebow....

I guess we could tie them to a chair, and Force them to

listen to Rush Limbaugh 24/7

That would be torture for most Sane People.

to overturn roe v. wade it would be made illegal.
shall america just put something on the books as illegal without a penalty?
i'd think that unconstitutional in some way.

The death penalty and abortion is murder.
So the question is, what do you do with a murder?

Harken back to the time prior to Roe v Wade - what were the legal penalties then and to whom did they apply?

There's your answer...

Are you saying that executioners who enforce the death-penalty should be put to death for murder? I'm confused.

I think all females pay anyway, so its there choice to murder.

What percentage of american women have had abortions now?

Do you think before and after abortions females change, and there moral value for life?

Females already pay.

The same punishment as any other serious crime.

Jail.

I grow tired of pro-lifers who want it made illegal then say they want no teeth in the law because they would never jail a woman over it. Well what would you do, give a fine?

Sheesh, that's pathetic.

from my understanding, abortion was brought to america as a eugenics operation by margaret sanger.
mostly targeting minorities, especially blacks.
for some, this may be a good thing.

How is it murder. Do you really call something that is only 2 months old inside the womb developed? It is not murder. I agree that anything after 3 months would be considered murder to a certain degree. Definatly not in the same lines as a murder done against another human.

To adopt a child? To have them re-impregnated again by the same guy?

/Sarcasm off

I think no penalty is needed, we already have enough wasted talent on earth and in the graveyards.

If something is illegal then yes there should be some sort of penalty. But how do you give a penalty to a women that had no choice but to have an abortion because she has been raped buy a stranger or even worst a family member. do you not think that the fact that this has happened is a penalty in its self??

As for women that have an abortion because they dont want a baby at that time, then fine them for being careless as they should have been taking precautions.

Death for those doing the sentencing.

One liner.

I still think females do pay for abortions, just in ways they do not understand.

Who knows, as in life we all have things that change our lifes.

the thing that amazes me is that some people see abortion as a sacrifice, and do it on purpose.

You contort and twist my words.
I will gently roll it to you, just reach out and catch my statement.
Abortion and the death penalty is murder.
Life behind bars is a miserable existence.

Yep, but what about the police and government people who murder?

They get a free ride in society, for murdering.

I have sadly worked with patients that have had an abortion, and yes, they do suffer in ways that are not obvious to the untrained eye.
Even some of the women that I have had to work with, I have held in my arms while they broke down and cried.
Yes, it does change them.

I believe this is one matter where everybody should mind there own business.

Pro lifers do not know what the reason is for this decision. They should keep there mouth shut.

There are already rules made for this matter.
Even at three months the clot of organic cells still is nothing at all.
But from three months it is no longer allowed to have an abortion ?

Fair enough.

Murder is murder.

My opinion is that everyone responsible for the death of someone else is a murderer. They get punished because of the way it happened.

For the death penalty this means for me. Murder in the first degree. planned and executed. I think it is a crime more terrible then the crime people did to get this punishment.

It's a major flaw in society that those who rule lower themselves live up to who they actualy are and commit the crime they present to be the most unwanted crime around.

Those who do are nothing more then a bunch of hypocrite, lying and deceiving worthy of death themselves.

A foetus is not even a human yet. let alone a crime. It becomes a crime for those nosey people. To push their believes, thoughts and opinions on to others.

Here you go asking if abortion should be sentenced with a death penalty ?"
Murderer !

My personal opinion is that an abortion should not be a solution to a problem. However I respect others choices and I mind my own business.

Every single pro life supporter that pushes his way on to others should be executed themselves as long they don't stand up to their government to stop the wars they started. Every single death because of it is also a life.

Stop measuring with two options.

You are pro life ? You should also condemn war and the death penalty.

If you don't. Mind your own business.

This reminded me of a video posted to Youtube a few years ago.

These protesters lack of critical thought on the matter of making abortion a crime is a spectacle to behold.
