The point hasn't been destroyed but it has been amplified. Just look at the people in this section posting the amount of threads regarding similar issue.

The only thing you have to understand, people like you who are sympathizers are in the minority. You do know that the ENTIRE state of AZ voted in favor of it? or Do you childishly withdraw your attention away from those results?

Illegals and sympathizers are outnumbered in every way if not on these threads but I suggest you walk out and see how many are in favor of it. But I doubt you leave your own "Happy Place" and like the hateful mentality that is brewing in every inch of you body. Hey guess what America is waking up though it is later, more are aware of the eroding foundations and are now stepping up to stop it.

Your time of leeching is coming to an end, if you get lucky you escape the arms of the law, but your cohorts wont.

Just in case you can’t read I’m from Canada, though we do have dual citizenship I’ve never leeched from what little you have, in fact your country leeches from this country, and any other country you have interest in. You don’t pay when your leaders make deals with other countries, in NAFT you find funny ways to cheat your way out of paying for goods which they have already received when it suits your fancy.

I’m glad you put your racist comments up here for all to see, like I said in an earlier post this is why freedom of speech is so awesome, we all get to see people make asses out of themselves in public.

I’m going to assume that you can’t fathom the thought of others taking what you think is yours, that’s why three times now you avoided the question. You couldn’t walk ten feet in someone else’s shoes you have no right to talk for millions.

I think we have all become aware of your heavy use of the racist brush. I just happen to call you out on it. But please feel free to talk to yourself as much you want, if you want to get though to me just send me a pm so you don't make a fool out of yourself with your silly tantrums.

BTW, did you say US leeches from Canada?
Please start a thread on that one, I am sure it will be put into the HOAX section.

People in the uSA have been extensively brainwashed to believe they're "Open Minded/Liberal/Intelligent/Progressive/Fiar/Just" by simply accepting. People do not want to think and even less they don't want to change. Some say people are afraid to succeed, others that they are afraid of failure. I think the truth is people simple do not want to change and thinking leads to discomfort with their current state of numbness and they don't like that. The mind runs in ruts and people are horribly naive with a desperate fear of change.

Watch a movie like "Blue Planet - Open Ocean" narrated by David Attenborough. You see the large swarming schools of sardines, that's the uSA. In come the predators, tuna, marlin, etc.. One kind then another until there's nothing left. That's illegal immigrants. It's common sense that you destroy the functional integrity of a society it will collapse. We don't need to add anyone to the country. You need to maximize opportunity for everyone here. No, that isn't selfish, it isn't small minded, it isn't racist, it isn't a lack of kindness, it's isn't religious intolerance, it's practical, responsible, respectful, considerate and wholesome towards others born in these republics.

Accepting Illegals is not sharing, it is bleeding to death. Put one of the brainwashed out in the open ocean where the sharks are going to start picking them apart and then ask them if they want to be "open minded" about it, after all, the sharks have to eat too.

Accepting Legal immigrants is what I am very open too. Illegals should have no rights in this country and they should be escorted back to their origins. As far as the sympathizers who are citizens of this country, please hand your citizenship back as you fail to protect the sovereignty of this country.

I'm from Australia and I cannot see the problem with the AZ law.

If you are an illegal immigrant, or over stayed on your holiday visa, etc, why should you be outraged that the US wants to send you home.

For C*t's sake, you have 1/2 Million illegals in AZ alone, and you they are all not on social security. therefore they are probably performing cash-in-hand work for less than a US worker would get. taking a US nationals job prospects, etc etc.

Why shouldn't the law grab there A## and deport them back home???

If you are hispanic/whatever, dont whinge to the govt that you are being picked on, and having to show your ID every 5 minutes... BLAME your relatives and Co from your motherland, for not doing the right thing like you or your parents did.

If you are fortunate enough to live in the US of A, expect others to honour the immigration laws already set out as you have. I'd love a 'green card' but hey, thems the breaks. I'm not about to just go 'stuff it' and visit for a holiday and then go bush in the boondocks (unless you guys set it up for me
).

Text, or type is hard to interpret, you assume that I am upset, because I called you out on your racist remarks. It’s unfortunate that the wimpy site owner and mods have to censor the comments you posted and continue on like it never happen, at least they took your racist crap down as well as my post.

I’m not upset, as a matter of fact I have repeated that I love this part of freedom of speech to let racists bigots talk so we have an example of them to bring up when we need one. Shows the world what a great thinker you are. You are a great dancer as well dodging this punch and that one with excuses and BS.

You still didn’t answer the questions, you have avoided it at every turn, answer the question already?
How does it feel for others to enter your country without permission and take from you?
Answer the question?

The crap you keep repeating, like cohorts and paint brush are great examples of narcissistic behaviour that proves you think you’re better than everyone that disagrees with you, don’t give me that # about AZ, one state is not the whole country.

You want to stop the influx? You really want to stop it, then use your “superpowers” and raise the levels of life and prosperity in other countries, instead of conquering and taking their resources, stop installing puppet governments in foreign counties and leaving the people in poverty while you keep the ruling class as kings, and the people as peasants. As soon as you stop doing these things the people will actually rebuild their own countries, and not want to go to the one that took all their goods, resources and services for pennies on the dollar, and left them for dead.

Hate to burst your ignorance bubble, but I might have too. Your use of the word racist/bigot is getting old. Put forth some debate concepts. If you can't come up with anything and your only defense is the use of the above mention childish words, then it just allows others to see how narrow minded you really are. A Mod stepped in I guess to deny your ignorance.

Also the last I understood you were a citizen of Canada claiming to hold a citizenship for USA also, but you choose to reside in Canada. I am a US citizen and I live here. Don't tell me how I should feel about people who are criminals and are leeching off of me and the many others who have let their voice be heard.

You know if Canada bordered Mexico, I wonder how ignorant will you be then?

This thread only shows me how out of touch people are when it comes to this illegal immigration issue.

What part of the word ILLEGAL do you fail to understand?

This has nothing to do with racism, it has nothing to do with what the USA did hundreds of years ago. It has everything to do with people knowingly and willfully breaking a law, and this isnt some small infraction like jay walking. This has to do with the security of an entire nation!

If we have no idea who is entering our country, how can we stop people who want to do us harm? Terrorists? Serial killers/rapists? Are you so naive as to believe that every illegal immigrant is a honest hardworking person?

If I break a law, get caught, and have my day in court, do you really think the court is going to give a damn if I say: " You guys dont understand, Im a good hardworking person! Sure, I broke a law, but so did this country! You guys took this land illegally! Now, have some compassion and just dismiss my crime." That will never and should never work.

This topic is something that hits close to home for me. Ive spent most of my life in southern california, basically the front lines of illegal immigration. I appreciate people from Canada or other countries chiming in, but Im sorry, you have NO IDEA what its like dealing with this BS on a daily basis.

When people come here illegally, it affects everything and everyone where I live. Have you seen hospitals go out of business because illegals dont pay their bills? Guess what? I have, and now my hospital which used to be nice, is overcrowded, over run, by these same people who bankrupted multiple ones already. Its frustrating.

Have you ever been driving your nice new car, you worked your ass off to buy, then rear ended by an illegal, driving a beater he doesnt care about, with no license, no insurance etc... I have! And let me tell you it was an awesome experience! My insurance went up, I couldnt sue someone who has nothing so I ended up paying $4000 out of pocket on chiropractic bills. I still have back problems.

Have you seen what has happened to our L.A. public school system? Most of the children attending dont speak English, and dont make any attempt to learn. The district actually had to fire most of the teachers and hire bilingual ones. Not to mention the quality of education plummeted, seeing the classes are so overcrowded. This all comes out of my taxes.

Have you seen how many gangs there are now? Where do you think they get their drugs and guns they sell? You guessed it! Smuggled across the border, then sold and used on our kids....

I could go on and on and on but Im sure you're getting the point. It has truly become ridiculous. We need to secure our borders. Drug Cartels come up here and murder our LE's. And its only getting worse.

If these people are such hardworkers, why the hell dont they work hard and make their country great? Oh no! That requires TOO MUCH work right? Its easier to just sneak into a place that has worked hard for the past 200 years to be great. I get it.

And for all you people who complain about the US, saying we dont do enough for other countries.... Why do you feel so entitled to our money, food, and resources?!?!? We do ALOT for people and we are very tolerant to all the ingrates who disrespect us despite our good will and generosity.

Of course we cant fix the problems of the world, but at least we try to make a difference. Are we always successful? No, of course not. But tell me one country that has done more for the international community....Dont worry I'll wait.

If everyone worked hard, organized, and banded together, people wouldnt need the US, they would be able to help themselves. To me there is no excuse why this hasnt happened yet.

Everyone bashes the US, then when something terrible happens everyone expects us to drop everything and swoop in and rescue everyone. Then when we do go try and help, people criticize us and say we were too slow, and that we didnt do enough.

To me its all BS and Im sick of it.

This is the most loaded question I've seen posted by a member in some time.

I don't support illegals, I don't "hate America", I hate it when we feel the need to give up rights for "security".

What I hate is when people blindly support any solution, to any problem, when it involves stripping away basic human rights, as well as infringe on the constitutional rights of the people who live here.

I bet you supported the Patriot Act and think anyone who is against it is
"against AMURIKKKA!" too, right?

I'm an American, I have family members for several generations who have fought in conflicts around the world, and as an American, the one thing embedded into my being is the idea that the individual has rights that can't be infringed upon, and that choosing to infringe upon certain rights for security brings neither (to paraphrase that Ben Franklin quote). Not only that, but your character and your virtue is sacrificed in doing so, two things I myself choose to hold dearly too.

I don't believe this is a case of a racism though. Racism is the belief that one race is better or worst than another, and that's it. What this IS though is prejudicial. The law passed allows a slippery slope of prejudice, and abuse that will definitively come from this, something that can't be denied. I don't give a damn if the governor is going to make extra extra sure that it doesn't happen, because it WILL happen.

Sadly it's a situation that has people stuck between a rock and a hard place. While I VEHEMENTLY disagree with you on this issue, I fully understand why you feel this needs to be done because. and I'll be honest with you, there aren't many solutions for this problem. I'm certainly one to argue that we need to fix the leak before we bail the water out first, but beyond that the solutions for getting illegals out of this country are few and far between.

But regardless, this doesn't mean we should sacrifice fundamental American beliefs for security. It seems like some people in this country will cry (and rightly so) whenever the constitution is ripped to shreds by politicians and yet when it does something YOU support, you're OKAY WITH IT! Me, I'm not a hypocrite, I care more about the principles of which America is founded on than anything else. Because I see them as principles not only allowed to Americans, but any and every human being, and when we decide we can sacrifice these rights we're just inching towards stronger and stronger government and a stronger totalitarian feel of America.

You ask me a loaded question, I'll ask one for you. Why are you okay with destroying the constitution when it suits YOUR needs? Why do you hate America's principles.

[edit on 24-4-2010 by SpectreDC]

There are actually fairly simple solutions to this problem...

1) get rid of the entitlements that have turned this nation into a socialist state.

or

2) implement the type of legislation that Arizona just has.

The best solution to all of our problems would be to return to a consittutional form of government and follow the constitution. Eliminate all laws that stemmed from a misinterpretation of the 10th amendment and give the states the rights they were intended to have.

Then we could deal with the issues as we see fit.

Just saw this quote on Yahoo, and it applies to the question of why we can't just let illegals make a better life for themselves:

"How do you feel if you're told a crack dealer is just trying to make a better life for himself? Does that in any way change the fact that the activity is illegal? If it's illegal, then it's wrong, and the law should not be encouraged to turn a blind eye to it."

I know that many illegal immigrants are "trying to make a better life for themselves", but it's often at the expense of not only Americans by birth and naturalized Americans, it hurts those who are here under other legal status, such as students, registered workers with valid VISAs and the like. I work with people from China, Thailand, Venezuela as well as the US... and it makes me sad for one of them to wait 2 years to legally bring his wife over from Thailand, that another can only stay one more year before going back to Venezuela (and both Venezuelans agree their "president" is an dictator who's running the country into the ground). It makes me sad that the man from China has to be sent back for a set amount of days due to restrictions on his VISA - these people are all PhDs working on cancer research, and they are productive members of the community and are doing their best to follow the rules, even if it means they can't stay... but I'm supposed to be happy about someone who snuck in, abuses the welfare system, gets free school for "anchor" babies and free health-care, and often is only here because we have an easily exploitable system?

Many immigrants came here for a "better life", but the knew that meant hard work, and were willing to take the new opportunities. I hear that older immigrants who came here legally feel the same as many others - if you came here ILLEGALLY, you need to go back home, or 'fess up and take the consequences and apply for LEGAL citizenship, just like ANY other country would require.

Racists? Is that the only paintbrush you have left. Every comment you had thus far was racist this, racist that. Try living outside the racist mindset you have gotten yourself trapped into and see how the world has evolved since Bows and arrows.

What happened with the Indians, ancient Africans, East Indians, Spartans, Mongolians, Nomads, etc tribe etc tribe is part of history. Back then there were no boundaries and if boundaries were set up then the people who set up those boundaries weren't strong enough to maintain them and got displaced.

So get over yourself and the past and try to live in the present and worry about the future. I suggest quit drinking that Hatorade and drop that racist paintbrush down.

Some people actually said "its time to clean out our neighborhood, schools and community by enforcing Illegal Immigration laws" If that is not racist, then there is no such thing as racism.

Believing your race is superior to other races is ok but care must be taken to avoid another holocaust. Do I need to remind you of nazi germany? Gypsies, jews and communists where the enemy of the far right..

Now take a look at american politics. Two out of those three are STILL the enemy. Europeans have never gotten over themselves and their "superior" culture and america is a perfect reflection. Aryan supremacy is still prevalent but more subtle than the past.

E.G.-In america's long history how many minority presidents have we had?

E.G.-In central and south america how many right wing dictatorships have we had the last century? Many! How many left wing dicatorships? Almost none!

E.G.-Usa AND europe benefiited SIMULTANEOUSLY from the right wing dictatorships of central/south america in allowing corporations and plantation owners PLENTY OF CHEAP LABOR! Cheap labor=exploitation and racists normally exploit/kill!

It is actually YOU and a few others that are OVER-playing the race card as justification for LEGAL immigration! NO ONE is pro-illegal immigration as such, despite all these poor-taste allegations. We(mostly liberals) understand that illegal immigration is A COMPLEX ISSUE that needs to be studied thoroughly before implementation. We are NOT traitors, because we are REAL PATRIOTS, more patriots than the right-wing racists who wish to enforce illegal immigration ONLY to CLEAN neighborhoods.

We want to study the political and most importantly ECONOMIC ramifications of the topic. To be frank and call me a CT if you wish, I think multi-national corporations have a lot to gain by rushing it because but cutting down cheap labor they will speed the decline of small/medium business. Big business has exported TONS OF JOBS overseas to second/third world countries so they don't have to worry about breaking american laws. Small/medium business cannot afford to move operations out of america.

damned illegals...sneaking into our country and taking horrible jobs - that the rest of us americans won't touch - for horrible wages just so that they can support their families who were unfortunate enough to have been born in a country without the opportunities that we have.

what the hell is wrong with them?

it's even worse than those damned, starving homeless people digging in dumpsters for food. they know it's illegal, but they just won't stop! It's a good thing we started putting locks on the dumpsters. Hah! that'll teach those smelly bastards.

and they know that vagrancy is illegal! but still they keep walking around without any money in their pockets...like they own the damned place or something! we need to teach them all that they have to follow the same laws as the rest of us.

oooh, you're starving? your kids are sick?

tough luck, buddy. you're breaking the law!

I say let them live here if they choose, but without the rights of an american citizen, if they choose not to seek citizenship and legitimate work. I know a family in my neighborhood, that came here illegally and somehow get foodstamps and assistance from the state, and are damn filthy scums. They don't have to pay taxes, work under the table, constantly dig through my trash for crap to hoard in their landfill of a yard [I have started "marking" my trash, like an animal would
].

I work my ass off for jack-squat, and support my whole family fairly well on it, but as much as 1.00 off budget will destroy me for months [don't raise your family of 5 on 23,000 a year after tax, it sucks]. In fact, were it not for Craigslist and my ability to fix junk electronics, I would fail totally.

The point of this is that apparently, I make too much money for assistance, so my kids basically eat the food I grow...Jos'e has a nice grill and thick porterhouse steaks on that grill, courtesy of MY taxes, and store bought potatos all smothered in gob'ment cheese...yep...

round up the illegals who want a free ride, and dont intend on working legitimately, and give them the choice of either facing an angry mob of low-income Americans, who can't find better jobs and help, or diving into a wood chipper.

If the federal government would enforce the laws that currently exist, or even allow the border states to do so, Arizona's new law wouldn't have been necessary.

How can anyone expect the border states that bear the brunt of the financial cost of illegal immigration to not do something to protect themselves. The feds truly have tied their hands to date.
