GRANBY, Colo. A man who lost two bitter battles with town officials plowed an armor-plated bulldozer into the town hall, a former mayor's home and
at least five other buildings before the machine ground to a halt in the wreckage of a warehouse, authorities said.
No injuries were reported in the rampage Friday, but officials declined to comment on the condition of the bulldozer driver, identified by the town
manager as muffler shop owner Marvin Heemeyer.
Heemeyer was still inside the bulldozer's cab early Saturday. City officials said he was angry over a zoning dispute and fines from city code
violations at his business.
Authorities detonated three explosions and fired at least 200 rounds against the heavy steel plates welded to the bulldozer. The first two detonations
failed; the results of the third were not immediately known....

I don't know if I would call this insane rage. He had to work a long time to armour up that D9, gun turret with flaps, put a lot of thought into
this, and he only went after certain buildings.

I did see it on the news here today in OZ. What a strange thing is going on the minds of people---->" too many action movies"
He even did prepare his bulldozer 3 month ago to fulfill his rage. It;s a pretty long time to hold on to such emotions. Outragous things are happening
these days.

those damn zoning laws, enough to drive anyone crazy..but to do this??? hmmmm seems he had more issues than zoning problems.

This guy must have been a total A-Team freak. Didnīt hurt anyone (physically) except himself and showed in an impressive way what he thinks about

While most news media has reported that some unidentified witnesses said that Heemeyer was firing shots form his homemade tank, a D9 Caterpillar
bulldozer covered in armor plating and concrete, other witnesses who were less than 100 feet from the 53 ton vehicle say that Heemeyer never fired a
shot, that only police and sheriff's deputies were firing. Certain facts remain indisputable: No weapons or guns have been produced, least of all any
kind of a .50 caliber weapon, and no one was hurt or injured during the 2 to 3 hour melee, save for Marvin Heemeyer, who was found dead inside of the
cab of the vehicle at 2:00 AM Saturday morning, after SWAT and sheriff's deputies spent an hour using a cutting torch and 3 separate blasts with
military high explosives, to gain entry through the top of the make-shift tank
