A brain implant/device that 'melts' into place.

Thought this was a cool discovery, and perhaps others (with greater expertise) would be interested to have a read and then discuss pro's/con's of the above device and it's implications on Neurological health/brain development...

Can't honestly say I'm an expert but I find this fascinating to say the least and would love to jump in and have a chat!

However they say 'melt' but it seems to be more like a fine silk sheath that settles firmly onto the brain material...
bit weird...

Chips that weld into the neurological matter of Humans?Sounds Fishy too me.

I love the idea that we have the ability to do this.

But yeh, I'm not a bog fan of actual objects 'residing' on or in my brain.

However, things like this and along the same line will eventually lead to a technology where there will not be a need for such invasive means. Perhaps instead it will be more Star Trekkie and a simple hand held scanning device will be able to 3d render your entire brain and its chemical makeup, monitor the electrical activity, etc.

They do not need chips today, as they just need your frequency.

But seriously why would you want this, it is just not right!

I think it's most definitely a rather suss technology that has a lot of potential to be misused...
I guess, it has something to do with electronic stimulation etc... maybe just shock therapy in miniature! lol!
At the same time it provides a minimally invasive option perhaps for the future of brain science?
I certainly wouldn't be volunteering myself though!
