What about Mexico, do they have an open border policy, are illegals deported from there, do they give illegals benefits, health care etc?

If the will is there then illegals can be deported, the US has the infrastructure to ensure people are repatriated safely- if the illegals choose to riot over their refusal to obey the law they should be dealt with harshly

If china can have a great wall i do not see why the US can't have one.
Build a great wall then cut a mile wide killing field poured in concrete.
Then build another great wall armed with the unemployed Americans.
Deport all the illegals back to Mexico after they have had a DNA sample
taken an entered in a data base.If they are caught again illegal execute them.

And we have a winner!!

this is the most comprehensive response to any immigration thread I've read.

Well yeah but there is an incredible amount of wild life that has no such qualms with their neighbors and they use the route for yearly migrations. You effectively kill off a staggering number of animal species in the area.

Admittedly most people in favor of a wall have no problem with that.

Mexico does a lot of whining, don't they have more pressing issues... like dealing with their out of control drug war? America has been patient with them for so long, but as soon as we start putting our foot down we are the monster. We take care of them on the tax payers dime... and all they do is complain, and all we ask is, they come here legally, and they can't even do that. Thats all I ask... If they can't follow the rules of this country, why do they deserve to be here?

What you say is just to basic to be understood. It lacks are the rhetorical seasoning of a modern day guilt ridden argument. Americans need to feel good for helping the poor and a good sound logical argument just wont cut it.

The outrage over illegal crop workers wouldn't be an issue if all Americans had jobs. Now they are doing jobs Americans won't, helping farmers keep food prices down.

This goes beyond illegal crop workers or migrants as they used to be called. This also goes beyond doing jobs that americans wont do.

I know some folks that hire mexicans up here in the north. They do so because its cheeper. In that way the Mexians are like classic scabs which is what this is really all about. Its about flooding the market with cheep but skilled labor. It drives down wages and certain small contractor wages like roofers, masons ect. while it lines the pockets of those that depend on thier labor. We are not talking about fruit pickers here in the classic understanding.

This fits in to the current US Mexican policy, as all know it floods the south with cash.

This idea is also used to attarct workers from all over the world. I talked to a guy from africa that told me he could work here for 2 years at 5$ an hour, save and go home as a very wealthy man.

Star for you manta78.

I'll never understand how other nations will criticize our nation for doing what's right for us and then turn around and be a hypocrite. Of course Americans do the same thing. I have to be around hypocrites everyday and they just make my skin crawl.

It really doesn't matter how many states impose anti-immigration laws similar to Arizona's. The Obama adiministration is appointing judges that's going to find any law that like this as "unconstitutional".

It's looking more and more like a revolution by force is the only alternative left for the people of the United States. Peaceful demonstrations don't work. Letter writing campaigns to our elected officials don't work. When the government does something that is unconsitutional and a majority of Americans are against, we can all thank God that the founding fathers of this nation granted us, the people, the right and the power to take this nation back even if blood is spilled.

Only by the Grace of God and the courage of righteous Americans can this be achieved. It's not murder when tyrants are felled.

I will fight, I will die and I damn sure will kill for the restoration of this nation. I'm thankful that millions of others have the mindset as I do.

It was once "Give me liberty or give me death". Today I live by "I don't want to hear it! Go to hell".

From another article along similiar lines:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Let’s call Mexico’s bluff on its unwarranted interference in U.S. immigration policy.

Let’s propose, just to make a point, that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) member nations standardize their immigration laws by using Mexico’s own law as a model.”

Mexico......a US government subsidized entity. American taxpayers one way or another subsidize the mexican guest worker force in this country and thus the Mexican economy.

Just think of the billions of untaxed $ that illegals represent in this country most going to Mexico. Talk about world level socialism. This is nothing against these hard working folks.

Not to mention how this subsidizes the americans that hire them. Why dont we award them a type of non-citizen work permit so that we can gain some tax from them and thier employers? Make it illigal to hire them without a permit. We could at least tax their employers say 1000$ a head per year.

Mexico needs to shut its mouth. They routinely kill ranchers in the southwest and have all but sustained a permanent drug war near juarez/el paso.

A simple solution to this would be to prevent illegals in the US from transferring money to Mexico. That will remove the Mexican Government's interest in sending people to the US.

The problems of illegal immigration are so overwhelming, I can't imagine it ever being resolved. Our own government and corporations have failed the American citizens. Cudos to Arizona for at least trying.

Join ALIPAC or another such organization and fight illegal immigration. Armchair warriors won't help anything.

ALIPAC might be well intentioned, but the plan will fail and utterly even if tried (which I doubt much will be done about it).

Amnesty will most likely happen, or if defeated we will spend another 5-10 years waiting for another chance to do something stupid in response to a fairly simple problem.

The solution is one neither side mentions. They have forgotten history and concentrate on the byproducts of bad policy and social tinkering rather than what causes the problems.

MEXICAN government can kiss my butt!

It is their very failure that makes people want to leave there in the first place.

Now the rights and treatment of American Mexicans is another story...

But I have done that one to death

Bring our troops home and rotate them on the Mexico - US border and provide us tax paying (and legal) citizens with some REAL "homeland security".

Good news people. I just got a gig with the state of AZ. They offered me $10 a person to drive each illegal back to the border. I figure they fit like 60-70 in a Uhual so my overhead is covered and I'll turn a little $ while doing a service to our country.
Well, that is unless they go through with a bid they got from a suspected illegal who will do the job for $5 a head.

Well it makes since to be on yahoo finance. If all the illegals left tomorrow would the U.S.'s economy fail? No in fact it would start booming. Teens would start working those jobs and the money would be spent around the U.S. instead of Mexico. On the other hand Mexico's economy would completely collapse. An influx of people without jobs, spending no money. It would get bad quick. It is two peoples fault here. The U.S. government for not securing our borders and ending the drug war, and the Mexican's governments fault for not setting up laws to insure its workers would have jobs.

Cool.

Maybe Mexico will go to war with Arizona.

The question is, which side will the NAFTAed US come down on?

Way to go and you gotta know we Americans would always rather give this job to any grandkid of the European anchor babies born here in the fifties rather than these Latin late comers! You snooze you loose, right bro?

I'll bet I can find some American Indians who would love nothing better than to take you for a little drive back to where your great grandparents hailed from.

They never welcomed them setting up their little store here.

Good thing those Native American didn't change their mind all of a sudden and decide to send great granny packing.

American Indian? You mean the Chinese immigrants who wandered into
North America and slaughtered all the mega fauna and mega flora and then proceeded to engage in endless tribal warfare of the most brutal kind?

The "Native American Indians" (Chinks) were unable to defend their cultural outpost and lost it to the Europeans. I think there might be a lesson in there somewhere.
