The truth is mexicans are not going away any time soon and will grow in numbers long before a solution is found. Maybe some here would like to trade places with them.

here is my breakneck solution to the illegal (criminal) problem we have here. It aint "PC" but we need to first put an end to the "anchor babies" crap we have here, then round them all up, start at the home depot, start with all the employers who hire illegals, make it a felony to even pick them up,then start shipping them back one at a time, along with that we have to build an effing huge wall around Mexico, not a fence( I'm sure there are tons of americans ready and able to help with the construction, so this would also help with a few jobs aswell)! coinside that with shoot on site orders so anyone coming accross the borders into US territory will be shot and killed, no questions asked, you cross the border illegaly, you WILL be fired upon. Don't like that? Then don't sneak accross our border, problem solved.

Actually even if you built a wall around the border, there is always the underground. I know there are some tunnels that go under the border and into some random house. No matter how hard the U.S tries there will always be a loop hole to the system.

If I (or any American) sneak into Mexico will they provide me with free health care? Will they provide my kids with a free education (since I WILL NOT pay school taxes, or any taxes)? Will they then allow me to file paperwork, AS AN ILLEGAL, and recieve government assistance funds to help feed my family? Oh and would Mexico allow me to be in their country illegally, have 10 kids on their soil and then pay me welfare for EACH of those 10 kids out of their tax collected funds from their own LEGAL citizens?

If the answer to any of these questions is NO...Mexico can stick their gripes and complaints up their you know what!

Well why doesn't Arizona prosecute and imprison individuals from companies that are hiring illegal workers?

ANd for those who think we can just deport 10 million people across the border...you're nuts.

Part of the Health Care Bill should have been that if you hire an illegal your fine for not insuring them would be much much higher than for a citizen. That would clean them out.

As it is though the illegals and thier employers will still be getting under the fine radar whiel reaping all the rewards......whiel citizens pay.

Well it is a start and the majority of the borders don't have houses near it. Also once I see a few 1000 Mexicans come out of a house and don't go in I might get a little suspicious.

Many layers needed here...bordr control, hiring control, living control....

Mexico does a lot of whining, don't they have more pressing issues... like dealing with their out of control drug war? America has been patient with them for so long, but as soon as we start putting our foot down we are the monster. We take care of them on the tax payers dime... and all they do is complain, and all we ask is, they come here legally, and they can't even do that. Thats all I ask... If they can't follow the rules of this country, why do they deserve to be here?

A few points of levity, although these are normally ignored:

1) Of course Mexico will denounce any tougher action on immigrants into America as the money they send back is enough of a factor to make the Mexican government stupid to not want it to stay the same or increase.

2) Legal or Illegal immigration is not a problem, only the current system creates the problems and they take it as an easier scapegoat than critically analyzing the situation.

Being "documented" is a relatively recent development (early 1900's) and the reasons for it being needed have grown as the damage of undocumented does as well.

3) America, like it or not, has become powerful for 3 reason:

a) We have enjoyed ample supplies of low paid unskilled or low skilled workers
b) We have, historically, kept taxes and government intrusion low in personal and business matters
c) We have been willing to use maximum military force to crush anyone that required crushing.

That's it, so removing a good supply of unskilled to low skilled workers is not only anti-capitalistic but down right stupid.

4) You will not solve the problem through imprisonment, deportation, or other repulsing tactics. We must get knee deep in Mexico's behind to elevate their nation.

Their nation has serious implications to our own, economically, strategically, and logistically. We have every need to act and act strongly to pull their heads out.

5) This entire debate is framed idiotically, mainly concentrating on the results rather than the cause.

Better economic conditions will always draw immigrants. We have created a costly, long, and exceedingly tedious immigration system that is far better and easier to skirt than to pass through.

We must allow in more immigrants, with a preference to those from our own hemisphere.

6) Race in this debate is framed incorrectly, as a racist or non-racist position.

The fact remains that reducing white dominance in this country will fundamentally change the fabric of our nation. This threatens many people, but not me.

Race does play a role in this debate, although the stark labels are too crude to be correct.

7) Arizona is taking the wrong tack in response to conditions made bad by longstanding federal and state programs that create the issues in the first place.

Wrong action does not change a bad situation. It only fuels the fire.

8) Removing the minimum wage mandates, greatly reducing taxation, and adjusting immigration laws would make a radically positive change in the situation and our economic condition.

Peace
KJ

The Mexican Government (ahem) needs to put a sock in it.

Considering how they treat illegal immigrants that somehow end up there (God help them), they have no room to criticize the U.S. when even with this law their citizens get pampered by comparison.

Nearly every illegal immigrant they apprehend, sometimes by the hundreds of thousands per year and mostly from South and Central America, is sent right back where they came from. These corrupt officials and agents want to maintain control over who gets the chance to cross over into the U.S. illegally. It's good money, too. I'm not even going into the horror stories of despicable abuse most of the illegal immigrants have to tell about when they were caught or how they were treated by the locals.

In fact, just try going there and demanding anything these illegal immigrants and their supporters do.

You'll be shook down, beaten and jailed before you can say "No human being is illegal".

If you're lucky.

Mucho hypocritical.

How many Americans are fleeing into Mexico again?

There is always a "blame America first" guy hanging around somewhere.

There's always make a completely dumb analogy guy somewhere. It's obvious America doesn't have the same problems as Mexico, atleast publicly. The root of the problem on both sides are both governments working hand in hand to defeat the populace.

And as for racial profiling, who cares, I'm puertorican and will gladly show an officer my ID to prove I'm a legal resident so long as it helps get the illegals out and back to their own country! This really is the only reasonable answer to this criminal problem we have here.

How you enjoying taking advantage of the same rights American citizens have? Last I heard, your country loves taking all the benefits but never wants to fully join us as a state. You guys are part of the problem too.

Why should they want to be a State?

Rather than blame the people who live there for a situation they didn't create, lobby for a simple vote.

a) Become a state

b) Be independant

That would solve the issue one way or the other. I'm willing to bet a pretty penny that they would pick B.

I'm not sure a nation that started as angry colonies has colonies of it's own. Seems wrong to me.

Nope they are not in any way... Our Puerto Rican brothers and sisters can have all the rights they enjoy as Americans have. Zero issues here and it is nothing to do with this issue.

The point is Americans have zero issues with LEGAL aliens, but Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory and so is not a part of the alien issue. Give us 5 or 10 million documented alien worker (doesn’t need to be Mexicans) and we can all be happy…including them who would be treated extremely better than the slave laborers that they are today.

Let’s fix this problem and do good for everyone, but we cannot take in the world’s poor in need I’m sorry to say, so that is not an option as is having 25 million undocumented people here illegally.

Negative,Puerto Rico is a US territory buddy. And the last time I checked, there isn't an influx of PR's crossing the Rio grande/tunneling under the border...etc,just to enter the US illegaly. And furthermore, Puerto Rico does not have a serious drug/violent gang problem that is spillling into the states costing innocent american lives on the daily. Not to mention that the mexican military/gov't is completly corrupt and is providing arms to the drug cartels. Mexico is a VERY serious threat to national security, and needs to be taken care of promplty. Puerto Rico on the other hand,is not.

Where are the defenders of the Constitution? Where is the ACLU?

This law null and voids basic Constitutional Rights of natural and naturalized legal Spanish Americans.
Arguably any Spanish descendant can look like an immigrant and no matter what tell tale signs or attributes you are reading you cannot "see" if anyone is "legal."
Can you see court deliberations over whether Mr Garcia, (now suing the State for false arrest and civil rights violations) looks Spanish enough to raise a flag in this officers mind?
Maybe an "white" officer who's sister goes with a guy named Juan who beats her.
You cannot take the racism out of the officer. So although we ALL AGREE we we need comprehensive immigration reform - this ain't it.
This is gestapo. Socialism.
Trampling rights of the few to appease the many.

The outrage over illegal crop workers wouldn't be an issue if all Americans had jobs. Now they are doing jobs Americans won't, helping farmers keep food prices down. All would be legal if it were not so downright impossible so blanketed hatred of mothers, fathers and children is more unjust and represents a kind of dog eat dog, frightened and heartless American I will not be proud to be.

Even the churches are against this and yet the right, religious when they wanna be...are not.

Then there is a drug problem.

What does the DEA do anyway? You notice nobody is making any action hero's out of these guys? No Hollywood glory, no real life dramas.

We hear about an occasional bust. We shake our heads in disbelief over the "street value" and impressionable youngsters hear this and say waaaa? I can make that on this???!!! Soon they are into the lucrative drug business too.
Street values is a pet peeve of mine. If it is illegal there is no value but a negative value. Loss. That figure alone should be associated with these drugs. Street value is police information.

I know the DEA is into the Afghan poppy business now.

If they do as well with that as they have with drugs crossing the Mexican border we should start to see a real buyers market here in opium soon. Can't wait for the next designer opium product to hit the streets. Sure someone is working on that now.

And a few Afghan Kingpins are gonna be happy they cooperated with the American contractors over there "helping" the American military...

...to all the opium they can carry out of there.

Buy it.
Burn it.
End of problem.

"8. If foreigners come here and buy land… options will be restricted. Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country."

I will have to look into some of the others.. but I know this one to be false. I own property on the water in San Carlos.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but that was technically incorrect.

There's a difference between racial profiling and you don't belong in my "F" country profiling. There is a legal way to become a citizen of the US. They already have their own nation, they are more than welcome to fix it.

If a UK national decides to live here they must follow the same process. I welcome all that do so. Race has nothing to do with it. No matter where you are from, if you want to live here do it in a legal fashion otherwise don't do it at all.

P.S. Speak English please.

If china can have a great wall i do not see why the US can't have one.
Build a great wall then cut a mile wide killing field poured in concrete.
Then build another great wall armed with the unemployed Americans.
Deport all the illegals back to Mexico after they have had a DNA sample
taken an entered in a data base.If they are caught again illegal execute them.
