Its like 19th century struggle between European conservatives and radicals.

The Conservative Aristocrats appeal to the rural Peasants and the Radical Intellectuals appeal to the urban Workers.

Nothing has changed.

In the end its all a power play. The Workers and Peasants never really benefit in the end. Its about who stays in power.

Well if your an Aristocrat or Intellectual you have a good chance.

Sometimes Peasants and Workers climb the hierarchy. Get a master's degree or become a commissioned officer and you will have your foot in the door.

Well, apparently Bill and Hillary Clinton took him seriously enough to make him the top adviser in the Clinton Administration. Morris resigned in 1996 because of the Monica scandal.

I remember the WACO episode that was widely publicized by the Media, only the side of the big brother. Nothing was there by the other side. How can it be balanced. Thanks to the internet, today we can find very quick the information on the other side. Look what happened to the 8 Militia arrested in Adrian Michigan recently. The media only gave one sided story that was given by the big brother. From that publicity I couldn't find the exact location of the Militia. My source of full information was internet only. It amazed me how the big brother leaked part of the information that made them look like heroes. Not a single soul came out to defend them or at least listen to their side of the story. People have big mouth to defend the constitution.

I also remember Guyana episode. Can you imagine every one in that group committed suicide. But we all know the publicity generated by the big brother that favored them. Unless we stand up and support the right from the wrong, we all be the victims of police state.

I am not wrong. The presidency is not one person - - it is a group. You have no idea why/who/what reason - whatever Dick Morris was chosen to be a part of it. And neither do I. Politics is not "straight forward".

Case in point. Clinton and Al Gore did not get along. If Clinton picked the VP - he would not have picked Al Gore. But Al Gore was picked as the VP - because the presidency is not one person - - it is a group.

Now let me rephrase the question since you insist on being "technical" - - even though you know the discussion was about Dick Morris running off his mouth after leaving the Clinton administration.

Dick Morris has run his mouth and said a lot of things. Of all the things he has said - - give me one that had any effect and was acted upon.

Remember that the Ruby Ridge incident played out before the "Waco" incident. Please pull up details on "Ruby Ridge". This partially explains the attitude the GOVERNMENT has undertaken against anyone who might make a noise against what BIG BROTHER wants for us. I was not for the Branch Davidians brand of worship, but I do not believe that such a show of force was needed to prove a point. Ruby Ridge occurred because a "sore" loser turned in a neighbor to the FBI which took action without taking the time to validate a rumor. Who else is in line for "affirmative action"? The Government made lots of mistakes in both places. How many neighbors/friends/family are going to make accusations because the Government settle their scores?

While I agree with most of your information. I would like to offer my recollection to clear up a couple of things.

There was an ATF subversive who badgered one of the Davidians weapons experts in to illegally modifying weapons for them, so that they could have a legal justification to go after the Davidians. Whether it was their way of life, numerous weapons or knowledge of government drug running that put them on the target or perhaps as the OP suggests an event to help Clinton get re-elected, I have no such knowledge.

When the ATF made the original raid it was all on video by them & or the media which went in with them. The Davidians had been warned that a raid was eminent and had lookouts posted, yet they weren't completely prepared not knowing the exact time. The BATF went in hiding in the back of trucks like red neck broken down ex soldiers who didn't have a clue who they were dealing with.

The BATF attempted a castle type siege using ladders & what not to get on roofs trying to break windows in upper floors to make entry when they encountered fierce resistance. They began firing while the Davidians armed themselves and began to fire back. Having better positions & not willing to cower like the ATF expected the ATF was forced to retreat. It was a televised fire fight where there were casualties on both sides and in the end the BATF ran away pissing their pants, crying & bleeding with their tail between their legs carrying their wounded comrades. Seems I remember them rolling off the rooftops, falling down and running in the grass hiding behind and jumping on their trucks to escape. I also remember them calling the Davidians on the phone asking if they could retrieve one of their wounded without being fired upon & the Davidians agreed.

I couldn't believe my eyes that this was happening in the U.S. but I just had a laugh watching a bunch of trained albeit red neck looking agents getting their butts whipped by some bible thumping farmers who I'd never heard of until then.

I don't recall the exact time lines, but the FBI soon moved in and took over the entire operation. One of their first moves was to put the media back a couple of miles (perhaps they moved them a couple of times) , supposedly to keep the Davidians from knowing what they were up to, but it really seemed more like they wanted to clean up the BATF's mess in private while getting some revenge for government agents getting their asses handed to them.

I'll continue when time allows.

Holy f***. I'd heard of WACO but never actually bothered to find out what really happened... Yeah I know my bad but I'm not from the US.

To think that this happened in a developed country is crazy. There must have been a lot of other factors at play in the background for such a blatant abuse of force.

Could this have been an early attempt to force a broader definition of terrorism? There have been attempts to criminalise certain groups since the 50s..... in more than one country. Only since 9-11 have they succeeded.

The conspiracy theorists may say it was Delta Force, but I don't think so....the Delta Force would have made it clean kills. They're like the Navy Seals but undercover. David Koresh was also nuts, I don't defend what the government did...but I sure as hell don't defend David Koresh.

Just to let you know that the federal goverment learned a valuable lesson at waco and ruby ridge. After removing support for militias by giving us the false flag incident at the J Edgar Murrough building they started doing things a little different I think. They got sneaky. After the patriot act we saw alot more convictions in child pornography, Sex crimes. Now i'm not saying all these guys are innocent. But now they can monitor you 24 hrs. a day and if you wrinkle their feathers who's to say they can't just plant a little nasty pic in your computer and arrest you at the same time fully shame and discredit you.
