hi..just read this in my local paper...(sorry for the horrible google translation but you can get the idea).

firstly..heres the area:

maps.google.com...,+Baden-Württemberg,+Germany&ll=47.648737,9.422836 &spn=0.375147,0.702438&t=h&z=11&iwloc=A

what amazed me again here is the ridiculous double speak...its probably chinese lanterns...although they cant be as they were moving too fast...the title said however that this was probably the explanation.

and why do people constantly have to say that they were not drunk or on drugs?..

and obviously...why oh why does or MSM always show that stupid picture whenever there is a mention of UFOs or aliens....?...well..i know why...but its annoying as hell..

anyway...here you go..maybe someone else from another european country saw something too:

UFO alert: explanation could be sky lanterns.

Unidentified flying objects have several people on the night of last
Sunday on Ravensburg observed. What sounds like the fantastic action
sounds like a movie, could have a realistic explanation.

(RAVENSBURG / sz) From our editor Bernd Adler

The Ravensburger Jürgen Bretzinger is a director and city council, although humorbegabt,
but still one to be taken seriously contemporary. "Fortunately I was not
alone would not believe me, "he says of his observations in the
Night of last Sunday. Observations him after all, motivated
call the police, simply because he know what was going on was in heaven
on the night of Ravensburg.

What had happened? Bretz Inger sat with his wife and a friend,
"Not intoxicated, nor under the influence of other drugs," as he stressed
when he suddenly against 22.40 clock from his home in Market Street
fly several "bright parts" in the night sky looked. The unknown
Flying objects, between five and eight in number, shone like stars shooting,
but at high speed horizontally over the old town to a few
minutes to disappear in the sky over Lake Constance. What could it be? The
Friedrichshafen airport was closed because of the Icelandic volcanic ash, so
mused Jürgen Bretzinger after over space debris or a satellite parts
fell from the sky - and called the police.

Inger Bretz at 23.07 clock is documented phone call to the Ravensburger police.
And the officials are also active, such as Sonja Saur from the Press Office of the
Police Authority Ravensburg reports of SZ. The police will immediately
Contact with colleagues at the lake, but there are no UFOs seen
been. Even calls to the nearby airport in Frauenfeld (Switzerland) and
in air traffic control in Friedrichshafen bring any evidence. No one has
see something.

But the three Ravensburger living in marktstrasse is not yet the
only witnesses of the spectacle on Ravensburger night sky. Several
People from the towers of the city contact the Schussenried Bad Weather Station
South, because the fast-flying star points for a weather phenomenon
. Keep Roland Roth, . of the weather station, has no explanation meteorolgische
for the observations, but another: Sky lanterns.

The sky lantern, others call it Sky, happiness, desire or Kong-Ming
Lantern is a lantern-light, the paper bag with a downwardly open
thin frame is similar. A small flame lit the lantern and let them
rise to the principle of a hot air balloon. Through the thin tissue paper
the lamp is bright, and can radiate for miles. During its burn time,
which can be up to 20 minutes, reached the sky lantern up to 400 meters
Meters. Device it into an appropriate wind, it can be very fast
and travel distances of many kilometers.

For Roland Roth is the sky lantern, the most plausible explanation for the
nocturnal phenomenon of Ravensburg, even though he admits that by Jürgen
Inger Bretz described an extremely high speed of the objects against
speaks. In addition, the sky lanterns in Baden-Wuerttemberg were banned because they
could interfere with other things, the near-surface air travel.

Not least, sky lanterns in the recent past, on several occasions
held that people were afraid that it is the unknown
could act by flying objects alien.

There are 1.2 billion people in China. I've never seen a ufo report from China, attributed to Chinese sky lanterns. Yet there are dozens of reports from countries all over the world, blaming Chinese sky lanterns. Sneaky Chinese.

how can he think that chinese lanterns are the most plausible explanation then go on to say that the fact that the lights were probably traveling too fast to be chinese lanterns?

thats not very scientific is it?

Alienesque.....

It sounds to me as if that was his one area of doubt.

It's quite possible he was not aware if there was strong wind at the height of the objects & this confounded his sighting.

Kind regards

Concerning your brief comment about people trying to convince everyone else their sober (and sane) when they see a UFO, just one time I'd like to hear someone say; "I had a UFO land in my frount yard last night, and two aliens passed right through the frount door. I was delighted to welcome them with open arms. But since I was both drunk AND stoned, they diden't abduct me. I do hope they return the dog."

I believe there is ongoing or just finished a huge NATO and friends air force exercise called Brilliant Ardent, iirc. This could be the reason for UFO sightings and the ultra widespread civi no fly conditions that have been relaxed even though the volcano is still spewing forth loads of ash. Not throwing doubt on the OP, I'm a believer in the ETH.
