Did Iceland's Hekla volcano just erupt? Webcam

It's not a hoax, they had the Hekla webcam pointed at the other volcano that is erupting.

So it was more of a screw up.

You aren't the only one that got fooled, MSNBC told the world Hekla erupted.

They may have used this thread for info.

I'm not doubting your sources but would you mind divulging where this information was obtained?

Do you mean of the camera pointing at the wrong volcano? if you do I posted a screen shot I took of the cam labelled Helka with time stamp before it was moved back showing the plume (it's back on page 3)

I think we could all keep this thread active as a lesson learnt about making sure the cam's we are reporting are pointed at the right place...

So all in all this thread adds a good dose of caution to future reporting.
