And the British still worship monarchy and have a Queen!!!!!! LOL

The British "worship" monarchy?
Fantastic!

You've got to be American, am I right?

Brilliant!

Yes, we've got a Queen, but you're seriously deluded if you think she's anything other than a tourist magnet. Countries that don't have a monarchy, like America, lap that # up and can't get enough of it.

Your generalization of the British people is flawed. Yes we have a Queen do i or anyone else i know in Britain "Worship the Queen" i don't think so. Also the last time i looked the Queen does NOT make policy that would be our government.

Generalizations looooooooooolllllllllll

I think the point of this thread has been missed, must be the way i think and do?
My point seems to have been totally missed here. We only know what we are allowed to know. Thats what im saying. Everything thats going on is all cloak and dagger.
Everything is complicated because the leaders and TPTB make it that way.
They arent the ones seeing their family members losing their lives in a war thats so F`ing ridiculous. ITS NOT OUR WAR!!!!! TPTB are pissed at the east and vice versa. The Governments and TPTB!! Not us civilians. (speaking from my own opinion) They have not done anything to me, so why should i hate?
I tell you what i do hate? The service men and women that are losing their lives daily in this farce, the innocent civilans who`s lives are left totally devastated because we cant stand up as a Race and civilization and say "NO MORE"
If the Governments and PTB want to be all lary then sort it out yourselves, and ost of all
"DO YOUR OWN DIRTY WORK"

Not entirely true though the queen doesnt hold direct power she still weilds influence. Prime Ministers often seek the Queen's advice and they must go to her when they wish to dissolve Parliament. She is also commander in chief of the armed forces. Not to mention everything done is in the name of the queen.

So to say she has no power is wrong more like refuses to use it would be more accurate.

Much of this is ceremonial and courtesy. There's no real basis in it; the Queen has no power only in 'theory'. It's been so long that a Monarch has actually exercised power - certainly in the 'paranoid fantasy' way that I see on here - that I'm fairly sure that people would take it as a joke.

I'm a socialist but I don't mind the Royals because they're just figureheads that pull in foreign tourist money and, as they stand, abolishing monarchy now would be pointless and over-turning history simply for the sake of it. It's not the 18th century any more and the real weasels are in Parliament.

U.S. military plans against Iran being updated

The Pentagon and U.S. Central Command are updating military plans to strike Iran's nuclear sites, preparing up-to-date options for the president in the event he decides to take such action, an Obama administration official told CNN Sunday.

The effort has been underway for several weeks and comes as there is growing concern across the administration's national security team that the president needs fresh options ready for his approval if he were to decide on a military strike, according to the official who is familiar with the effort.
