X prize flight

Monday June 21st, Scaled composites will launch the first attempt at winning the 10 million dollar X prize. They plan a 0630 takeoff time from the Mojave airport. The Spaceship one will climb and be luanched within R-2515, Located at Edwards AFB.

i wouldnt call this a new space race....its a birth of a new industry which will open up cheap space tourism

rufi0o, I guess you havn't heard of the X-Prize cup then eh? That is what I was refering to not a space race in the traditional sence but a Racing Series like F1.
