Here's the "Sunday Standard" website: Sunday Standard June 27, 2004

Nothing on the internet or in libraries can be stated as factual in the long run, unless it's been proven in a scientific laboratory somewhere. It may boil down that this article is as fake as the Hawaiian birth certificate Obama has. His paternal grandmother said, you know, the one that lives in Kenya, that she was present at his birth and it was not in Hawaii.'

The media and the Democratic party shut her up really fast.

This whole issue has snowballed out of being relevant to the rule of law and our constitution and has become a grotesque American side show that no amount of evidence will ever settle.

I think that this birther thing has gotten to the stage where Obama should simply post it on the White House's website for all to see. That should be enough for everyone (hopefully).

If a reasonable amount of citizens are asking for it, he should simply make it available. After all, the citizens are supposed to be his boss...

That 2004 AP article from the Sunday standard was modified by somebody who did not bother to put their name to it. The original 2004 AP article made no mention of Obama being Kenyan born:
legacy.signonsandiego.com...
seattletimes.nwsource.com...

The above are the same original 2004 AP articles. The title and start to the article in the Sunday standard was modified, it is not the original article. It was probably one of the editors at the Sunday standard who modified the original AP article, but that still does not change the fact the article was changed.

Heres another article on Obama from the same Kenyan newspaper (Sunday standard) from the same year (2004) that clearly states Obama to being american born and explains why in many ways he is refered to as Kenyan:

Left’s face it, Obama is not ‘our own’
By Wallace Kantai
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is looking increasingly likely that Barrack Obama will be elected in November as Senator of the State of Illinois. The number of prospective voters has increased after his presumptive opponent in the election was felled by accusations of sexual impropriety.
Simultaneous with Obama’s rising stature is the increasing desire by Kenyans to identify with him. Typical newspaper headlines and messages flying around the Internet tend to lead with the theme "Kenyan-linked", or "Kenyan-American", or even, erroneously, "Kenyan-born".

People like identifying with winners, especially when they can be linked to them in a direct way. However, Kenyans are mistaken in attempting to claim Mr Barrack Obama as one of their own, for two very important reasons.

Difficult childhood

First, the only link that Obama has to Kenya is so tenuous as to almost be nonsensical. If you haven’t heard the story by now, the short version is that his father was a Kenyan scholar in the United States, who married an American woman, and left them when Obama was a toddler. He was brought up mainly by his grandparents and went through a difficult childhood and early adulthood, including a visit to Kenya to attempt to understand his now-deceased father.

web.archive.org...

Culturally in Kenya you inherit your fathers birth so to say and this is why often at times the president is mistaken to being born there. Beyond that what somebody says does not make it fact, unless they hold the authority over citizenship records.

I cant take it any longer. I have been checking out this site for a few weeks now because I moved to Denver and was told about DIA, but thats another day. Reading the posts on this thread and all other threads about Obamas citizenship infuriate me. First off, he didnt show a certificate, he showed a live birth certificate. If you dont think theres a difference then youre already behind the curve. There are numerous credible sources saying he was born in Kenya. (His wife, the Kenyan government oficial...) He has supposedly done everything in his power to keep his records sealed. The biggest thing that blows my mind about the trusters is your lack of understanding of what the government can do to destroy your own story. You think that on 9/11 remote controlled planes hit the WTC, a missile hit the pentagon, the plane in Penn was shot down, while all the people were safely landed and sent to the NASA center 1000 miles away and 1000 government workers have kept it under wraps for almost 10 years now, BUT...theres no way that they could call up Hawaii and have a little convo with them expressing how much they would appreciate saying that this certificate we are going to make up so this guy can run for President is indeed real. Theres no way that they can even fake that certificate. Its impossible right trusters? "If he waved a piece of paper infront of my face it has to be real, even though its not even what we were looking for in the first place."
"Oh, it says 'birth' on it so it must prove he was born in Hawaii".
You look at us outsiders and wonder how we can possibly believe that we really landed on the moon, that JFK was shot by Oswald, and that 9/11 was done by hijackers from the middle east, but when we state our case you act like were lunitics. This site has made me think long and hard about 9/11 and the facts that have been given to us as opposed to what really happened, maybe y'all should start practice what you preach...

Which is a birth certificate under Hawaii law:

Birth certificates (Certificates of Live Birth and Certifications of Live Birth) and Certificates of Hawaiian Birth are the primary documents used to determine native Hawaiian qualification.

hawaii.gov...

"They're just words," said spokeswoman Janice Okubo. "That (what was posted on the Internet) is considered a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii."

"There's only one form of birth certificate," she said, and it's been the same since the 1980s. Birth certificates evolve over the decades, she said, and there are no doubt differences between the way birth certificates looked when Obama was born and now.

"When you request a birth certificate, the one you get looks exactly like the one posted on his site," she said. "That's the birth certificate."

www.politifact.com...

YOU dont believe its a birth certificate? What YOU personally believe does not validate as fact. He is not constitutionally required to show anything further. He was confirmed by the Electors and congress on December 15th of 2008, confirmed by the house speaker. YOU dont accept that? Well thats not anybody elses problem.

There are numerous credible sources saying he was born in Kenya.

Numerous Hawaiian officials including the Governor and the health director stated time and time again that the president was born there, and yet birthers like yourself here refused to listen. When a kenyan politican makes a passing comment, all of a sudden it validates as fact. Do you smell the hypocrisy? The minister of Lands does not hold the records of birth and thus far has not reconfirmed his statement.

He has supposedly done everything in his power to keep his records sealed.

Like what? He has not released anything further because he is not required to by law or by the constitution. You don't have to 'try' or 'spend' anything if your not obligated. The elections are done, he won, a couple of disgruntled voters cannot get over that fact and demand him to cater to them, thats not how it works sorry!
