Iranian leaders: US an atomic criminal, should be expelled from IAEA.

TEHERAN, Iran — Iran's supreme leader told a nuclear disarmament conference in Teheran on Saturday that the United States' atomic weapons are a tool of terror and intimidation.

When I first saw this, I sort of thought it was a tit for tat jab at the nuclear summit that Pres. Obama recently concluded.

It looks as though Iran has held their own nuclear summit with envoys from more than 60 nations attending, including Russia. Iran may not have heard exactly what they wanted to hear as the following quote from the Washington Post indicates

"Russia's deputy foreign minister, Sergei Rybakov, used the conference to call for more confidence-building measures by Tehran to allay international concerns over its nuclear program.

"We need to reinforce, reinstall full confidence in the exclusively peaceful nature of the Iran nuclear program," Rybakov said Saturday on Iran's English-language Press TV. "

Of course according to Tehran news sources PressTV.ir this sounds more like a public relations attempt in order to divert the world's attention away from their program.

At least for the moment anyway, it looks like TPTB are continuing in their posturing mechanisms, while trying to explain why each side is correct and the other side is wrong.

I just found another article related to this in the Tehran Times and thought it interesting. It seems that Ayatollah Khamenei in his remarks to the conference has inferred that wmd's are against Islam.
