Lol I don't mind being bruned; I can see past the the OP and see what you're really saying. They're just running around repeating what someone told them to repeat. If they really are all for paying taxes; wait until they actually owe money to the government for a debt that shouldn't be owed in the first place. Then, I gurantee that song they're singing will be much different. Alas, Ignorance is bliss and you don't deny bliss do you?

Now that I might have it, there`s still hope for you. lol as if you didn`t know that... duh. Um there`s a book that might contain some useful information. It`s called How To Argue And Win Every Time. by Gerry Spence, a native american attorney with an INCREDIBLE win/loss record. You have a good heart and I would hate to see it wasted on, well, hate! You`ve shown that you care enough to see what these kids are up to, and despite what I said earlier, I do respect the fact that you didn`t want to bbe rude to your wife and make her wait while you both educate AND learn from (thats the more important part imo) these kids. I`ve had girlfriends who were completely blind and asleep to the truths of our world and yeah it was usually always an issue because I am very social and outgoing person and I seem to attract certain people everywhere I go. Well actually all kinds of people, the thing they almost always have in common is that they have some sort of unique characteristic or story or just something special or wierd about them, and all very interesting nice people we have in this world if you care to find them and talk to them. They`re on buses, sidewalks, restaraunts, concerts, anywhere. Maybe it`s just me because I just have love for humanity and I can find good special things in everybody I meet. Anyway, it makes some girls a little nervous when I talk to strangewrs so often, even if I met her the same way. But a lot of people don`t see the importance of "People". The big thing they don`t see is that we are slowly being divided and conquered. The news and stuff on tv is making people afraid of eachother. Scratch that, it`s making people hate eachother! Our country could easily be taken even now, but I suppose whoever it ends up being will wait so It will be even easier. Even if no outside forces are planning to do us in, we are on a path to self destruction. We must reverse the course of this behavior! Now I know I am not perfect, far from it. I know that there are things about me that you could help ME out wh. Maybe even moreso than I could help u with.

First of all sorry, I just read your request. But as you may notice, my second post was only referencing my respect for your respecting her time. And I was explaining that I have had to deal with something similar. In fact, when I was telling you that, I was remembering a girlfriend I had who did actually have medical conditions so it was also more of a "protecting" situation. My respect for you increases. Now I will continue where I left off on my last post:
OK so we are on level ground. I absolutely don`t think I am better than you. I just think we can learn from eachother. We should let this thread be an example to people that two people who disagree on some things initially, can overcome their differences and not only toplerate, but appreciate and attempt to understand eachother and maybe even become good friends. I know very little about you, only your ats callsign and whats in this thread. As I`m currently using ats mobile I cannot see your avatars image. So without considering political leanings, religion, or anything else, even if only to conduct a social experiment, I`m going to add you as my first friend, along with anyone else who I converse with as soon as I get on ats (not mobile) since you cant add friends on mobile either. As your friend, I urge you to do the same. Both on the internet and in real life, let`s unite the people again!. Take everyone off of your ignore list, too, if you have one. I`m telling you, this could save our country, scratch that, SAVE OUR WORLD if we all do this! In the hard times we live in, we are all going to benefit from knowing eachother. I mean your neighbors and everybody too. Noone will fall cause everyone will be eachother`s crutches. If we can just agree that nobody is better than anybody else, or at least form a group of people who do agree to that, we could have a very powerful group of peopl
e. And a very morally strong group of people too. I`ll let you all think about this for a while.

PS And by the way I have to say again much respect to you again for putting your wife 1st, I may have done the same but for different reasons. And double respect for you standing up to me for my offhanded remarkf about pms. But just as a friend wanting to share with you something that may further your skill set (it`s obvious you are not going to stop being the kind of guy who takes a stand in this world and tries to make a difference, which is obviously a good thing!), in regards to your dealings with the teens (who probly just believe what their parents believe) you should really look up that book at the library (everyone should) I just have to ask (its rhetorical), would it have upset your wife if you were only having a pleasant conversation and the word Nazi never came up at least not in the name calling sense? You would be surprised how effectively you can win someone over without being the least bit confrontational.

Dr. J you seem to be an idealistic, positive, infectiously optimistic young man. I hope life leaves you that way. When we write or respond to someone on ATS we have no idea who or what we are talking to. We make snap judgements of people based on what they have written, when in reality we know nothinig at all about them. Its great to live in a country where we can communicate like this. Where kids can demonstrate today as they did in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. And old geezers like myself can disagree with them.
I had no time to argue or discuss anything with these kids, it was a very brief confrontation so I felt I needed to hit as hard as I could with something that would make them think. Was I right...no, was I wrong....no. Everything can be done better, said better, etc, situations are just what they are in the moment.
