Is it a crime to have a Moroccan mother and an American father?
Is it a crime to be an American Muslim who wants to serve his country and follow in his familys traditions??
It seems that some would think so...
Born in Morocco, Klawonn grew up in Bradenton, Fla. He was a standout on his high school golf team, with thoughts of trying to go pro, but his
plans changed after his dad's unexpected death from cancer. At age 15, Klawonn had lost the man he thought of as his best friend and was searching
for a larger purpose in his life.
His dad was an Air Force veteran who had told his son fond stories of his time in the service. Klawonn began to consider joining the military.
Since joining the military, Zachari Klawonn, has been singled out for abuse and discrimination... Described by his fellow soldiers as "the best
soldier in our battalion, hands down" He has been called a Rag Head, terrorist, Sand N etc...
He has also had to endure his religion being mocked by officers...
Now some may argue that military life is tough... and officers will sometimes pick on you to find a weakness... But would they mock Christianity in
this way??? I very much doubt it.
It seems that all this guy wants is to be treated equally!!!
I hope he doesn’t quit the Military and goes on to have an outstanding career!!
