The mommy board that I used to mod had similar induction rituals. I was sent a very nice picture of the "Extremely Large Wooden Mallet of Doom" and told that it was my new best friend (and not recommended for use on children or pets). Trivia relating to Broadway musicals was involved, as was a quiz on the most appropriate LOLcat to use for any given situation or comment.

I also had to agree to the loan of my soul to the board owner on every other Thursday to be returned to me by dawn on Friday. That wasn't so bad, though, because I was able to stipulate that my now-10 year old daughter (then 8 and believed to be going on 17) was an attachment to the soul and required to accompany it any time that it was to be out on loan. Best part of the deal, frankly. A soulless and kidless day all to myself. Darned if the board owner didn't suddenly find herself with other obligations every single one of those Thursdays, though.

Nice to know that standards for consideration are just as high here!

Who would of though these mod bots had the software for wit. I dint think that was going to be rolled out until ATS 2010....must be beta testing them here....

the self-learning ver. 2.0 has been in place for a number of years. am still trying to get used to that odd, helpless sense of no control one experiences when Bill initiates a reboot for updates. unnerving, to say the least.

one minute it's 6a.m. with a fresh cup of coffee, and the next thing you know it's almost midnight with bunch of empty beers on the desk. I hate it when that happens.
