what is wrong with people

hello ats there are things goingg on in this world that when and if you see your outlook on life itself will probably change there are sites out there with graphic pics and videos of actual acts of murder and tragic accidents
sick sick things
many of you are familiar with documenting reality or faces of death and many other sources there are as i have heard sites for terrorists to boast about there jihads and killings and whatnot

my question is why are people doing this? why are we running around sawing off peoples heads and throwing puppies off cliffs? mental illness? mental breakdowns? boredom? i want to know what causes people to kill and what causes people to want to film it

im sure many of us have wished ill on each other but most people leave it at chucking eggs at each others houses

so why is there a desire to kill? maim? rape? torture?
why do we have people like charles manson, BTK, and john wayne gacy?

iv seen some awful awful things on documenting reality there was a video that made me never want to visit the site again where some chzeckoslavakians or whatever sawed some girls head off in front of her bf and laughed and joked about it and played catch with her head i cried myself to sleep that night

so do you think youve seen it all? do you really consider yourself hardend no matter how hard you consider yourself you still soft until youve either expierienced this sort of thing or saw it or been in a war

but im ranting why do people want harm each other?

Why come to philosophy and metaphysics to promote another forum that pretty much just talks about the faces of dead type videos?

I'm not sure about that. Personally, I'd yank it. Those images are way too strong for kids and most adults and in it's own freaky way ATS is family-friendly.

Ive watched plenty of thing like this, But the worse is when them 2 Russian kids kill that homeless man in the woods and film it.

I have a strong stomach but that video was to much, To much to even link here but the people that have seen it will know what im on about.

ive seen stuff like that have you seen the one when a guy pushes another guy onto the railroad tracks and another guy jumps in to try and help the guy that was pushed and they both get hit by a train?
when i saw that my blood boiled and i wanted to throw up why are people doing this kind if stuff? arent the laws and punishments enough to make people not want to do this? isnt a healthy mind enough to keep people from considering doing such an act? there needs to be change in this world before we all kill each other for fun

I've been cruising the internet for a long time now. There are few things that bug me anymore. The only things that get to me are pictures of Parasitic infections ( worms, ticks, bot fly larvae) Burns and pictures of babies. The things i've heard have been worse. Babies burnt alive or raped to death, babies left to starve in closets and tupperware bins. Mothers microwaving their newborns. Partial birth abortion videos were the worst. They looked exactly like my little boy when he was born.


For a long time none of it phased me. Then one day i saw a picture of a man with his hand around a strangled newborn. I started crying. It actually makes me glad that things like this still disturb me. It let's me know that no matter how bad i may be, i will never have the ability to take a persons life out of hatred or insanity. When i eventually had my son, i was all of a sudden impacted more by such things, regardless of when i acquired knowledge of them. Nothing will compare to amplification your value of human life goes under once you have a child. Nothing will be able to show you the horrible reality of evil.

I understand your point - about how the pictures and videos effect you.
Start a new thread on how watching 'gore' videos and viewing 'gore' photos can do you damage. Let me know and I will participate in the thread.

There are a number of threads on 'is porn bad for you or good for you etc' - In my opinion if you do the same with a thread on 'Is viewing Gore...'it should get some good discussions going.

It is so simple when you think about it. Mans heart is filled with hate and envy and fear. We all have it but many are to arrogant to admit it. What sets us aside from the animals is the ability to look past it and choose a path of good rather than going with what our hearts want.




Also it is good that we have true evil and hate in this world because it helps us appreciate the good things more. If we did not have hate we would not have love it is that simple.

Why aren't you sawing off people's heads? What's wrong with throwing puppies off cliffs?

why is there a desire to kill? maim? rape? torture?

Why is there a desire to save lives? Why do people look for a cure for cancer? Why do people adopt pets? Why do people rescue beached whales?

Can you answer any of these questions?

If you don't even understand your own motivations, how can you understand the motivations of others?

That's one possible interpretation, but what basis of comparison do you use to judge what is "right?"

Some of these videos may make you feel sick, or unable to sleep, but if those feelings are the basis from which you conclude that these things are wrong to do, then couldn't someone very easily justify them as the right thing to do if they enjoyed them?

We don't always have the benefit of using mind to choose our preferences.

What if a young girl's first sexual thrill comes whhile being innocently bounced on the knee of her grandfather? Might she develop an attraction for older men? What if a boy who has craved attention all his life one day gets mobbed by his older sister's friends who dress him up in their clothes, and cheer him on as he catwalks for them? Might he grow up to enjoy crossdressing?

Can't so many behaviors and preferences be explained by events and circumstances largely out of our control?

Is it such a stretch to think that some people might develop preferences and behaviors that involve hurting people?
