Attention Fire Fighters.

I am contemplating going through the fire academy in July. Actually I am not really contemplating it anymore, I plan on doing it. I have been on a volunteer FD for a short time and have really fell in love with the fire service.

Any tips or tricks of the trade that would help this go a little more smooth??

Man im in the same boat and am about to head to a great school in Texas A&M Univ. First find a place that will give you a quality education. Second depening on what state you live in check on any kind of funding available, there are many state health departments that will easily pay if they are prodded. Third dont burn yourself at and continue to love and train. We never know when the day will come when our 343 comes but we need to be ready so it isnt premature. This is all info i have obtained from great experienced firemen
