Addition to our Family!

We just brought 'Pummba' home!!! She is a 3/month old Senegal Parrot...She's our first!

We are reading about the do's and dont's with our bird...NO Chocolate, Caffeine, and NO Avacado's...very deadly.

Any proud parents of this type around?

I knew a parrot once who said 'Pogue Mahone' (Gaelic for 'Kiss my arse'). Plus a Mynah bird who copied the ring of the phone. But I've never had a parrot as a pet.

That said, back in the 80's when KayEm was a little cutie, she had a job in a food shop. As an advertising gimmick they wanted someone to dress as a parrot in 90 degree heat and wave to passers by. You can guess who got the job. To say that she wasn't very happy would be an understatement of the first order.

I had a parrot once named MoeMoe The Cow. Id talk to him all day...but hed just sit there, perched on his stick thing. He's still there....just sitting....hes so mean to me. Hes never answered me...NEVER. Mean bird. It hasnt touched its food either...must not have a great appetite.
