Bluemoone2.....

That picture shows a point light source that has been distorted by a digital camera auto focus effect.

All you can see is the point light source being distorted as per the iris of the camera.

Therefore you cannot use that picture to delineate any information regarding the appearance of the point light source.

Actually, the shape is given by the iris opening, and you can't state what was the original shape (point light source) . It's not a "distortion given by the auto focus effect", it's the result of some failed attempt to focus some light source that was too far away: once the zoom reaches its limit, it appears the shape of the iris reflecting to the internal lenses, in this case the iris was a diamond shaped one.
Don't give explanations about stuff that you don't know.

As another experienced photographer I just wanted to second what is said here by trustyou. The contents of the video are meaningless unless you want to know the shape and type of aperture of the camera used. This effect can be duplicated over and over again by anyone who cares to try. Simply point at Venus, then take it slowly out of focus until you see this effect.

The screen capture from the video is more than likely from the zoom and lens , true but I wanst aware that `something strange` counted as an explanation tho.

Even without the translation, I know exactly what they're saying. They saw a strange light. They didn't know what it was. It hovered for a little while, and appeared to be spinning. Then it left.

Everybody says the same thing. Nobody adds anything new to the topic. The video is lousy. What do we know now that we didn't know before? Nothing.

Wheeee...
